Free up RAM memory.

First of all, the purge only frees disk cache memory - not system memory per se. Second, just go to the terminal and type "purge" or "purge ram".

This app does not do anything positive. In effect it is counterproductive in Mavericks.

It was originally made for 10.7-10.8. You'll notice that when you open it that it defaults to that tab, hope that helps with your concerns.

Thats not entirely correct. It really does release memory leaks caused by apps that do not release it when quitting. But purge is indeed the same what this apps does.

You like the icon? I can agree with you on all other points about it being free, and why do we need more purge apps, but then again it's free so who cares but the icon is nice comment seems a bit off… Anyhow… another app to run command "purge"….

Yeah I like the icon, since to me what makes an app perfect is when people is thinking about the icon too even it is a small detail :-)
