It sort of works, but still a lot of room for improvement:
* main gripe is stability: crashes intermittently (program hangs or quits) e.g. when the network connection drops briefly (1 second his enough). Doesn't auto-reconnect again when network/VPN is back.
* doesn't log messages or keep a call history: closing chat window means it's gone forever
* needs a fast and reliable network connection

This app is truly terrible. Messages fail to be sent, with no clear explanation. Files won't transfer. Parts of messages (like URLs) can't be copied to the clipboard. And it has a tendency to lock up the dock for several seconds when receiving a message. Come on Microsoft — you can do better.

Lync STILL doesn't work under Mavericks. Works great on Lion. Glad that using it on my Mac isn't a necessity.

Hi, I just downloaded this program, but I cannot get it to start in none of my computers.
I have a OS X 10.9.3 and I want to use an gmail account.
I get the following error when trying to connect.
"Sign in to Microsoft Lync failed because the service is not available or you may not be connected to the internet."
I have tried connecting with the gmail servers:
mail.gmail.com
smtp.gmail.com
and nothing... same error. I am desperate.
i have tried also in my DELL Windows 7 computer using my hotmail account... also with the servers and NOTHING.
CAN ANYONE HELP ME PLEASE?
