V1.10.6 is out. "Bug fixes and stability improvements." It's essentially an update specific to macOS 10.13 Ventura but backwards compatible.

I tried and tested Affinity. Awful piece of software. Don't be fooled looking at their smooth razor sharp photos jumping right into your eyes. Functions, features are scattered all over the place. They make it look as "top-of-the-line" application, really making an impression, creating a "glamour" effect using silky smooth black background, making it look alluring and exciting....but it is all Smoke. It's an illusion, to fool and blind the user, a smoke of cheap effects. SWIFT PUBLISHER beats affinity in everything: ease of use, in logical placements of every tool and features. Many features in affinity are repeated all over the place under different names, again to fool you, to make it look "sophisticated". In fact, it is far from being so. In addition affinity is also very very slow. SwiftPublisher is definitely The Best and so far has no competition. Don't waste your time. You might get a cheap euphoria effect when using A. in the first couple days, but I can guarantee you'll get disappointed after that. Affinity will get you nervous for many different reasons. SWIFT Publisher is also a much better value for your money.

This is the alternative to Indesign, a pro publishing tool.
I think it's the most underrated among cheap publishing apps.
People complain about its complexity should not use it.
It's a PRO tool, not an armature tool, a pro tool for an armature price.
Do not take its purpose wrong.

I tried to like it again, but unfortunately it is too confusing, too many tools, some of them are hard to understand what for they are, what they do, and these are all over the place. The interface is confusing as well. It should be cleaned out and made simpler and easier to use. Not worth even $25.

Affinity Publisher must be the desktop publishing app with the best combo of ease-of-use and useful features being able to hand over a reliable industry-standard pdf to professional printers.
When used together with the Affinity Designer app (for vector and pixel graphics) and Affinity Photo (for image treatment), which are incredibly well integrated together, the possibilities are endless.
The pricing is also ridiculously affordable. That must be one of the most-for-the-bucks app around. Even though, they regularly offers discounts.
Their support forum is a very active community with a lot of creative people interacting with the developers and a dedicated support team. A great example on how support should be done.

Today, March 20, Affinity made the following announcements in support of the Creative Community:
A new 90-day free trial of the Mac and Windows versions of the whole Affinity suite
A 50% discount for those who would rather buy and keep the apps on Mac, Windows PC and iPad
The introduction of the 90-day free trial and deeply discounted pricing is done in the hope that this will make life a little easier for people who rely on creative software to make a living, but may be stuck at home without their usual tools, or for students who might not have access to their Affinity apps on their personal devices.
We plan to make the free trial and additional discount available until 20 April

This really is a great app speed and fluid use and using the other app on the fly is great and is very flexible. I also used SwiftPublisher in the past this is in another league. Having used Adobe design etc in the past no more this is just great. Also a lot better value for your money.

Love this app. It may be hard to believe but I deleted my QuarkExpress and iNdesign within a week of getting Publisher. Publisher will satisfy almost any publisher and the app gets better day by day!. Support is without rival. Flexible with virtually any file format. Something that gets rarely mentioned all of the Affinity apps integrate into one another main a huge inexpensive magnificent suite!!!

I'm using for about 5 years SwiftPublisher to design posters. It is great, easy and pleasure to use.
Before SP I used Pages, but when I discovered SP and what it can do, I never looked back.

The speed of Publisher and ability to pull in the resources of Affinity Designer and Paint on the fly are just awesome. High quality stuff for a good (non-subscription!) price.

Affinity Publisher is really an Adobe InDesign killer for desktop publishing for macOS and Windows.
Presently, I'm learning how to use the software. So far, I think it's great. Can't wait for the Publisher workbook to be released!
Also, I own the macOS and Windows versions of Designer and Photo - now the suite is complete with Publisher.

The developer “Serif Labs” is famous for developing very high-quality software and Affinity Publisher is surely no exception. However, it’s a pity no DEMO is available as this is a new software and unless someone is willing to take a leap in the dark it’s impossible to evaluate it beforehand.
