iLock is an absolutely brilliant security app ! It is so simple to use and works as advertised. One thing I would like to see is a way to choose your own key-shortcut to expose the iLock settings. I mean, ctrl+alt+cmd+i is a bit awkward to handle. ;-) But this is just nitpicking .. this is truly a very useable app and one I to keep an eye on !

It becomes easier to keep the apps safe with iLock. Now nobody can use my apps without my permission. This app is useful when one mac has many users as in my case.

Our iMac is used by all family members with only one login. Yes, we can of course use a login for each user but we choose not to do so (for various reasons). iLock does a neat job keeping our kids from launching some apps. Great product !

Works for most apps, I guess, but not all. I need to block the Time Machine in /Applications, i.e. not the Time Machine backup service—only the app itself… but that doesn't work. When I try to drag the "Time Machine.app" file into the iLock window, iLock doesn't do anything. Instead Time Machine app launches.

Like comment of Doncho Indzhov, I have a problem with iLock, too.
I do not use the sleep mode.
Sometimes iLock does not work after rebooting or turn on.
At this time, like comment of Doncho Indzhov, hotkey does not function. and iLock application also does not work. Then, I have to reboot in order to solve this problem.
It is certain that it has a problem.

I have a problem with iLock. When I hide application from menu bar. Application is still hidden from everywhere. I can't access to window with settings. When I use "hotkey" the result is nothing. How can now I open the application settings window?

I'd like an app that prevented all apps to open files from a set of certain folders during certain time periods. A kind of time lock of the content in folders. I'd prefer to only lock execution. There anything like that out in the Mac universe?

GEM Alert ! Easy to set up with a dead simple GUI. Great tool to protect individual apps. It is pretty cool you can protect one application for free. I only have to protect one application so no need to buy this. :-)

Very nice, small and simple to use utility for password lock your apps. Come to think of it, this would be great if Apple included such thing in a future OSX version.

Does it also password protect preferences files and profiles? Take Firefox and Safari for instance; bookmarks being stored outside these applications, what if they are locked but anyone can sneak into bookmarks files? The Console is password protected but log files are accessible easily. Same thing for mailboxes.

Since Espionage cannot password protect apps anymore like it used to in the old 2.x version(s), this is exactly what I was looking for. Simple and lightweight and so far very stable even in beta-stage. Looks very promising indeed.

Great unique app imo Could be useful when your kids uses your Mac and you do not want to make an additional account. Not sure it is wise to use beta software for security. :-) Anyhow, its worth checking out and I look forward to the release.
