Lightweight Git client.

Overview

GitFinder is a fast and lightweight Git client for Mac with Finder integration. See a file's Git status directly in Finder with descriptive icon badges. Perform numerous Git operations directly in Finder using customizable contextual and/or toolbar item menu. GitFinder can also operate like a full-featured Git client, with rich repository browser; and can show local and remote branches, tags and submodules, diffs, repository and files history, and blames and conflict resolutions.

What's new in GitFinder

Version 1.4.2:
  • Improved repository authentication when working with different accounts and different servers
  • Changed "untarck" command to mimic "git rm --cached"
  • Some small UI improvements

Most helpful

Excellent, novel way to use git, directly integrated with the Finder. App itself is feature-full, with many advanced git operations that other clients miss - submodules, Git-LFS, etc. The developer is responsive, friendly and working hard on implementing new features - and the fact that he is open and transparent about the development process helps create a community of supportive, appreciative users. Will take 1 start for lack of documentation - which is urgently needed, as several of the preferences and settings are really not intuitive, nor easy to figure out. Definitely one worth having, and a serious contender to replace Tower, if you're not interested in subscription-ware.

Two 5-star reviews on the same day many months ago??? Sounds suspicious to me. I would take these reviews with a GIANT grain of salt.
