InstaCal overview
InstaCal is an affordable, yet powerful calendar app that puts all your events right at your fingertips, always available in your Mac's menu bar. InstaCal is quick and convenient, and can be opened at any time with a configurable keyboard shortcut. From there you can view your calendar events, make changes, invite friends or even add new events.
You can use any of the calendars added to your Mac (those available in the Calendar app), or connect directly with Google Calendar (even with multiple accounts!) to utilize additional features like invitations and viewing responses to your invitations.

Do the reminders sort correctly on date?
Some time ago I saw this app on someone's Mac, but the reminders did not sort correctly on date. Which means there's no need to switch from ItsyCal to InstaCal. But when it meanwhile does, I'll buy it at once.

v1.3 available on MAS. I have been searching for years for the perfect menubar based calendar/reminders app. There are many but not until InstaCal's latest update did any do it all for me: great GUI (image screen space large enough, fonts sizes perfect) that isn't too busy, items in Reminders are grouped by list, Calendar events are likewise available, adding, deleting, and editing are readily doable. Usage is intuitive; options are plenty. I was a beta tester and can attest to the developer's responsiveness. Their tweaks since release show their continued attention.
