Itsycal overview
Itsycal is a tiny calendar for your menu bar. If you want, it will display your appointments and serve as a companion to the Mac Calendar app. You can move Itsycal in the menu bar just like the built-in Apple menu extras by holding down the Command key and dragging.
What’s new in version 0.15.4
- A new Appearance setting to show days in the agenda that do not have events. With this new setting, empty days are shown dimmed so you can focus on the days that do have events.
- A new *hidden* setting to disable drawing the outline around the current month in the calendar. To use it, open Terminal.app and enter defaults write com.mowglii.ItsycalApp DoNotDrawOutlineAroundCurrentMonth 1. Once you've come back to your senses, you can undo this change with defaults write com.mowglii.ItsycalApp DoNotDrawOutlineAroundCurrentMonth 0.
- Fixed keyboard navigation (Tab / Shift-Tab) in the new event popover.
- Kinda sorta worked around an apparent Apple bug related to opening Calendar.app.

Itsycal is one of the staples of my Mac experience. I've used it for years, and it's one of the handiest, most trouble-free utilities ever. Period. It's amazing that the developer doesn't charge for it, given how well it works and how it integrates into multiple user calendars. Every time I get a new Mac, I have a set of must-have utilities I immediately install, and itsycal is one of them!

I've been using Itsycal for a year or more, never had a problem, and the design is so clean and simple to use. strongly reccomend

I LOVE Itsycal but what's killing me is that in Big Sur you can't remove Apple's clock from the menubar and also in Big Sur the icons across the menubar are spaced even further apart. Not sure I can afford the space up there for Itsycal any more (and a curse on Apple for forcing that miserable situation).

I've been using Itsycal for a few years now and have to admit that I'm very happy with this little gem: it's small and efficient and serves my limited scope of needs very well. I've never attempted anything like syncing with other devices nor some fancy use so I can't say if then I'd be equally satisfied, but as far as my desktop is concerned it's nearly perfect (customisation thrown in would be very helpful)
