DONE with subscription models. No other choice with Adobe or Microsoft, but this is getting out of hand. No, no, and NO! Even Adobe's Photography Plan, which includes Photoshop CC, Lightroom Classic CC, and Lightroom CC + cloud storage is only $9.99/month.

Disregard ALL applications with subscription crap.
There are plenty alternatives to every application.
GraphicConverter + Lyn + XnViewMP is all you need to manage images and to edit them.

After some playtesting it seems 'not bad' but if your photography app is not going to manage photos you really need to be able to open the app inside Lightroom, since so many people use it for that. It's not a replacement for Lightroom so it needs to be able to work alongside it.

Just to balance what dwp_1 said, using Picktorial 2.2.2, on my iMac (late 2014) model, I was able to load a 16.7 meg .jpg, a 22.8 meg psd, and a 9 meg .png all under 1 second each. Not sure what his problem was, but I don't think it was Picktorial.

Hi dwp_1,

I'm leading the development team of Picktorial.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience.
Picktorial usually loads JPEG images very quickly. We would like to investigate the problem and understand what happened.

What is your Mac Pro model?

Thanks,
Yoav
