Just a question here. Bootstrap? Responsive web design? Usable across all devices? Is this app capable of producing those kinds of sites?

What is the point of this app? The developer even has a link on the description to the "Pro" version. I believe Apple has a mechanism now (iOS only) whereby the developer can bundle the newer version with an older discontinued version and the customer can just pay the difference. Has Apple done this with OS X apps? Would be a good avenue for anyone that bought this version and doesn't want to pay again for a Pro version that actually does something useful.

Well, I am always interested in new tools to build web sites, but the created websites look so outdated. Good templates are the core of such an app. I can't even find 1 responsive example. So, if the showcase is the best you can do with this app, I recommend another tool or even better: learn html/css ;-)

I agree. Rapidweaver is still the best to make decent pro looking websites.

Well, I almost bought this when it was $9.99. At that price I was willing to chance it without a trial version despite the bad reviews on the App Store. But at $25 it's a no-go for me. Developers, please let us try your app before risking that much money!

@ Mrchips... I too was interested but not without a tryout. I went to their home page and sent the dev a note regarding lack of a trial copy. They immediately told me they'd send me a link if I provided them with my OS version. To contact, go here: http://www.htmlegg.com/ContactUs.php With the trial you can make up your own mind without regard for the MAS bad reviews, which mostly seem to center on a crash issue in an earlier release. I haven't experimented with it enough to offer you any buying advice; the good news, though, is the dev is extremely responsive to questions.

@Prince_Isaac: Thanks for the tip! I've left a message on their web site. Hopefully they'll respond and I'll get a chance to "try before I buy..." ;-) The full price is actually not bad if the app works! Cheers, John

Thank you for your interest in HTML Egg. Sorry we didn't regularly check messages on MacUpdate before and missed this discussion. Mrchips - thank you for writing to us, we look forward to your feedback on the Trial edition once you get a chance to test it out. A note on the reviews: Prince_Isaac is correct, in the App's initial launch last year, a bug caused a crash issue for users running on older Mac OS, this was our fault, a bug fix was released as soon as possible and this issue has since been resolved. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions regarding HTML Egg, we can be reached at htmlegg@aidaluu.com Thank you for supporting HTML Egg and Aidaluu apps.
