What's new in TG Pro

Version 2.48:

Note: Currently available for $10

New features:
  • Added feature to try and keep the CPU from throtlling when the fans are lowered, especially on T2 based Macs. It's available to try in App Preferences -> Fan. This is a work in progress, so please send any feedback using the Dropdown Menu -> More -> Send Feedback option.
  • Improved support for finding faulty temperature sensors on T2 based Macs.
  • Improved support for 2019 Mac Pro.
  • Added more sensors for most MacBook Pro models.
  • Added specific sensor naming for the following models:
    • MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2020, Radeon 5600M)
    • MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports)
    • MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2020, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports)
    • MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2019, Two Thunderbolt 3 ports)
    • MacBook Air (Retina, 13-inch, 2020)
    • Mac mini (Late 2014)
    • Mac mini (Late 2012)
  • Changed the naming of "CPU Core" -> "CPU" for some iMac models to avoid confusion that there isn't a sensor per core (Ex: A 6 Core iMac only has 4 CPU temperature sensors.)
  • Renamed the fans for 15/16-inch MacBook Pros from "Fan 1" & "Fan 2" to "Left Side" & "Right Side".
Fixed:
  • Issue where newer Mac models that can turn off the fans were not showing this in the UI.
  • Issue where signing up for the newsletter would fail if there was a plus in the email address.
  • Issue where the drop down menu would flash.
  • Issue where multiple sensors with the same name wouldn't always be numbered.
  • Issue where the battery health would be empty if some of the info was unavailable.
  • Issue where switching out of Manual mode then back to it wouldn't restore the set fan speeds.
  • Issue where "N/A" could display in red in the drop down menu.
  • Naming of "MenuBar" -> "Menu Bar" in the preferences tab.
  • Issue where a remote install wouldn't automatically block the user from being prompted to sign up for the newsletter or view the app tutorial.
  • Issue where it was possible the fans would be at minimum speed after waking from sleep, if the override system option was enabled and the fan mode was set to System.
  • Updated the IAP for Little Snitch to include a description of the connection to "v3.paddleapi.com".

This is the BEST TEMP app for macs. I have used this program for a number of years across MacMini to MacPros. Each version is better. It provides fast accurate display of temperatures, ranges and fan settings. It works well, with very little overhead. I like the ability to individually control fans and settings.

Before buying TG Pro I was looking into cooling devices for my 2018 Mac mini. When encoding video or writing videos from IMovie my Mac would slow right down because of the heat it was producing, TG Pro allows me to kick the fan up to MAX and my processor stays at 100% speed. This app has saved me so much time and money I absolutely love it! Definitely a must buy for any Mac user in my opinion!!

Lots of fake 5-star reviews, and few shills that weren't even bright enough to give a rating. Crooked developers will NEVER get my money.

Excellent App. Great insight into the temperatures inside my iMac. Ability to manually control the fan and see the fan speed is great. Auto Boost facility too. Very happy.

A multitude of parameters to set should you choose to do so or just some basic functions. It's up to you. You can easily override your decisions. Well worth the price of admission.
