seems the last update introduced a serious issue, after a freeze happened while updating. i had to force-restart my mac, but having automatic login enabled, i wasn't able to pass the booting process, also in verbose mode i had no useful hints about possible causes. i had to boot in single user mode and manually clean my system, deleting everything flavours-related stuff.

i've tried to trash flavours cos it's the only 'odd' thing i've installed on my computer, and i was really lucky to let my mac work again after deleting the app. now i'm pretty curious about it: is it possible? is this the real problem? how deep flavours is actually working?

now, the system is clean but still skinned. i'm quite scared about installing it again just to re-enable the default aqua theme.

Dear Kappe,

We’re glad that you got in touch on the Flavours Support Forum, so we could promptly fix your unic issue.

As we explained there, when you removed all Flavours related files you also deleted the default UI files backup created by Flavours and that are crucial to restore the default Aqua UI.

As we don’t search the web for support requests, if any issue arises, please reach us at support@interacto.net to get fast assistance.

Thank you.

I can't find any information about whether the upcoming new 1.2 version allows changing text color in themes.

Still no decent documentation. Despite what the developer told me a while back, still no sign of decent documentation in the future, either in the blurb about v.1.2 or on the developer's website. I refuse to get involved with an app. which mucks around with my OS unless I understand exactly what it's doing and exactly how to use it.

I hope that this software will be very promising. By the time I had only positive impressions. Very simple and functional, with a low consumption of resources. The themes are very striking.

I tried it and it seems very nice made and easy to use.

Only thing i missed was the ability to change also the Fonts colour which would be useful when making dark themes
I missed also since i have multiple computers the possibility to export my own themes in order to apply eventually on another machine without having to upload and re-download again

otherwise really good work Dev, keep it up and thanks

Dark is definitely the highest priority. Until dark themes are holistically possible for this, it's a no go for us.

Changing font colors is a neat idea but in reality it's difficult to read white text on a dark background. Flavours is great even without the font colors.

I'm confused by the "What's New" list for version 1.1.9. Instead of being a "What's New" list, it seems to contain an odd mix of a couple new features, along with several bugs (some major), and things the developer wants to add.

Though I guess the "What's New" list is an appropriate place for the developer to notify users not just of new features, but also of new bugs, or remind them of existing major bugs.

I have to say that I'm disappointed here guys. I went ahead and purchased your app at the promise of dark themes and that I could beta / alpha test a dark theme engine soon and really we've never seen anything that delivers our requests. It has now been many, many months and we just aren't getting any inkling of an update for true dark themes. Everything we see so far is pretty much a light theme as there've been no steps to darken the window contents and to make dark menubar and app widgets work properly. I completely realize that this is not a trivial task. You essentially have to extract icons/bitmaps and invert them or massage them with filters and so forth. BUT I would have preferred to not get my hopes up if you were not going to be able to do it anytime soon and to be frank and honest with the community. Please tell us your plans and even problems and perhaps you'll find some talented folks among us who can help you to solve the issues that will bring for real themes that so many of us want.

So far I just haven't found any themes I really want to use out of all 60+ pages on your site in each category.

Kinda funny that I'm getting negative votes here for making simply an actual observation about their having not held up their part of the bargain with their communications with me. They promised to have a beta in my hands shortly after this app was initially released that would begin work on serious dark theme support.

I love this app! I have been missing Shapeshifter for so long, but Flavours is so much easier to use! Thanks to the developers for their hard work and to those who have created the nostalgic themes like Panthora and Tigris and Jion.
