Tool for data analysis and exploration.

Overview

Wizard Pro is a multivariate statistics program for data analysis and exploration. The software keeps all work (tables, results, predictions) in a single document with an iTunes-like navigator and provides interactive interfaces for querying data. It includes basic statistics tests, regression models and results, stacking and joining of tables, indicator variables with custom logic, import of XLS, CSV, and tab-delimited files, import/export of Stata, SPSS, and R files, export of models as Stata, SPSS, and R commands, and more.

If you don't need all this power, check out Wizard, Wizard Pro's little brother.

From the developer's site, Pro vs. Standard: - Generate SAS, Stata, or SPSS commands (Pro only) - Import/export Stata and SPSS files (Pro only) - NEW Import SAS files (Pro only) So pretty much if you need all the features of the big name statistical software, or plan on using this in conjunction with such software or the databases created for them, well then you need the Pro version. All that implying that the software works perfectly as advertised and somehow can compete with and ideally outperform the competitors which although I would like to believe is possible, I really have doubts about for v1 of such a huge undertaking. Both apps are available on the MAS, another reason to be hesitant but of course you have to try the software and I have not. There is a crippled trial available if anyone is more interested than I.

Given the substantial price difference between this version and the one offered at the Apple App strore, I wonder what the difference is between this version (199) and that offered at the app store (79).

The Pro version can import/export SPSS, the non-pro cannot.
