Macupdate sucks again on this app. The m'up desktop shows the 1.11.0 version as an upgrade, but flags the app as for the appstore, where it is only at version 1.09.0 .. so you in fact you cannot update the app at all.

sorry to the developer, but you need to pay attn to how macupdate treats your products to avoid negative customer reactions

We do our best with apps like these. When developers offer out-of-sync versions through multiple channels, it causes confusion for MU Desktop. The Mac App Store definitely complicates things.

Vulcan_ this is totally unacceptable. The developer isn't responsible at all for third party software like MU desktop breaking routines.

If you are frustrated by this, there is a simple solution: Remove the MAS from your Mac. Problem solved. If you are opting to use MAS, well then get ready for issues like this.

Not in any way related to Mixxx.

@MJ - forum etiquette: read 3x before writing, reply to the issue, not your prejudices and be relevant. Anyone should be able to read that my comment was NOT directed at the Mixx developer, but he is responsible for the distribution of his app .. or it won't get the +ve attn it deserves, and what is "MAS" ??? this thread is about Mixx and the target of my complaint is Macupdate Desktop so .. come back focused or don't bother.

Vulcan_ not going into a forum flame war here.

But I'm not sure who is unfocussed here. MAS = Mac App Store. And still your review is not a review of the software you are posting it in. You wouldn't believe how many software-listing sites there are across the web. I'd rather see devs adding features and squashing bugs then taking care of third party distribution apps like MU-desktop. My point still stands.

YEAH! This is the software I've been waiting for. Stumbled open thisand gave it a shoot. It works great. Was able to do a nice mix. Audio Interface is what audience / recording would here and Built-In Audio out is for pre-listening via Headphone.

Works great. Why didn't I hear about this earlier? Off to rocking some old school hip hop tracks...

I am surprised they never bumped a ver with this release - 1.9 is so much more than 1.8 was. And then, I wonder if this will go the route of djay - Born Free, died $50. Even if it does, in its current form, it certainly is a good piece of software, for the casual DJ especially. In fact, I think I may just prefer it to djay...

Negritude is correct - we lost our PPC maintainer for 1.8 but a new contributor came forward and generously packaged 1.9 for us! (Open source rocks!)

It works fine on my MacBook CD 1.84GHz running Mac OS X 10.6.2. Maybe you should try a safe boot, repair permissions etc.
