Did try this out with Skype and found it easy to use and entertaining, although many of the effects are quite cheesey. Unfortunately in the trial version it puts a large watermark/banner across the image meaning the person on the other end of the video call can only see the edges of the image. Would have preferred a time limited version, e.g. fully funcyional for 15 days, or the first 30 seconds of a video call. In the end I decided to go with CamTwist for two reasons - price (it's free) and features (you can use movies, slideshows, Flickr sets, in addition to video effects). Both worth checking out though.

I wonder which is right? -The "Descriptions" says it's free software. -But the "License" says this software is "Shareware" and costs "28$"? It can't be both Shareware and a Free instant camera application. If this is realy shareware, I believe it's only fair that the description does not say that this is "a free instant camera ". The description is at least misleading... Or is the License and the Price wrongly filled in? It would be nice to see this cleared out. Thanks in advance and with kind regards.

Q@mera is identicle to Photo Booth. It is a stand alone instant camera program that utilizes the isight camera. There's no three second countdown like Photo Booth which is nice. The best features of C@mera is it's free and it comes with hundreds of camera effects. The large amount of special effects presents a problem because there's no way to preview the filters in real time. This means your going to spend allot of time previewing special effects. Fortunetly, it is possibley to bookmark your favorite ones. Overall I like this program and would definetly reccomend it.
