I would say that I'm surprised by some of the comments about price, but I'm not. I've read too many opinions from people who say that $10 is too much for something that makes their life much easier. Ever take a cab when you could have walked or taken a bus? Ever gotten fast food instead of making lunch yourself from groceries? Come on, people! Anyway, this utility enables me to do something VERY useful: save my SMS conversation, my call log, my Notes (without using Apple's Mail.app), and more. I paid $10 gladly. I've had a few issues when MSB tries to read the data files created by various third-party apps (especially the AT&T app - not sure what was wrong with it, but I bet it was AT&T's fault). When I've emailed the developer, he was very responsive and helpful. He handles my complaints professionally and has resolved the issues I had. What more can you ask? MSB has to deal with many different file formats in the iPhone backup and the developer has pointed out that people are reluctant to send him their files so he can see what went wrong (I was at first, but have come to trust him). Anyway, this is a VERY useful application and there are no good alternatives that I am aware of. So, the question is whether backing up your conversations, call logs, and more is worth $10. If the answer is "no," why are you an iPhone owner? You're paying how much per month to create those messages, and yet don't care about saving them for the future?

v4.3.2 Works intermittently. Can't see Contact info about half the time. Calendar, Notes, SMS all show up, but Contacts info frequently does not. Solution is to export data to a tab delimited file which I then have to go to. I paid to see the data in this program. $20 down the toilet.

Although more recent versions (of version 3) were much less buggy, it was still slow and with every update required you to put in your registration number. Now, with version 4, I have to pay again? After my initial registration this program was unusable for about 3/4 of the total time I had the program because of the constant crashes. I've been able to use it for a months, albeit slowly, and now I have to pay again? Lame. I'm switching to PhoneView.

It's working for me. iPhone 3GS, running iOS 4. Was able to export all my SMS messages and my Call History (I have the purchases license). Can clean this stuff off my phone now that it's saved to my computer in a legible fashion. Every now and then the interface gets a little funny, but a quit and re-launch seems to clear it up.

Promising? I don't know ... bought a license long time ago, contacted the developer (crashing app on PPC). Now the new version 0.9.3 crashes immediately again on iMac G5 with 10.5.6, giving me first "An unhandled exception occurred: StageCode=!APP.UNHANDLEDEXCEPTION raised", then "An exception of class NilObjectException was not handled. The application must shut down". That far less than expected. Don't buy it.

I'm going to go on about apps that are too expensive again. I may come across as cheap (I'm far from it) but it's not my intention. I just can't justify paying $9.95 for this, and I'm surprised others can too. For what it does, it's a bit pricey.

I am a registered user but the last 3 updates of this app keep crashing when I launch it. The last one continues to crash even if I delete the file "MobileSyncBroswer Data" from my Documents folder and also all the app's preferences. Moving it to the trash.

Useful utility if you own an iPhone and want to have on your Mac a log onf your calls and SMS, but I can't understand why separate app bundles for PowerPC and Intel, even the app's name changes with the architecture. Such a small app shouldn't have cpu-specific instructions, so why the developer doesn't build it as an universal binary app?
