Menu Minder for Mac2.0.8

04 November 2020

Create reminders right from your menubar.

What is Menu Minder for Mac

Menu Minder lets you create quick, simple alert, email and SMS Text Message (mobile phone) reminders straight from your menu bar. Quickly create a reminder using the system-wide menu that can be accessed from any application. Never forget anything ever again.

Attach tasks to your reminders. Schedule your computer to play a song, open a URL, run an application, or even run an AppleScript.

Enter an email server or use your default email account in Apple Mail.

What's new in Menu Minder

Version 2.0.8:
  • Copy: Reminder menu item menu contains a new menu item named 'Copy' that will copy the item to the pasteboard. Display the reminder menu item menu by selecting it.
  • Quick Save: The Quick Save operation verifies saving to the last accessed reminder set to prevent unintended overwrite.
Try our new feature and write a detailed review about Menu Minder. All reviews will be posted soon.

I keep forgetting I have this app, I was looking for something to remind me to take breaks and this can pretty much remind you of anything, by mail even (or SMS for Americans), it can start other apps etc, and lives in the menubar, what more can you ask for.. Seems they have an iOS app too.. but I'm an Android type.

This dog don't hunt. Doesn't open -- yeah, I checked my menu bar after I clicked it, too. The developer's website doesn't even show this app. Updated to version 4.2.2, and got the same. No documentation. No help. No online support. Not impressed. Another fine MacCrapStore App.

AVOID. This developer is useless, as well as their website. I have their "Limit Point Software Utilities Bundle" where you get all of their apps with updates forever. Yeah, good luck. Anyone else having problems? Leave a comment, and maybe I'll start legal action to get them to honor their comments.

"The requested address: http://www-personal.umich.edu/~pagliara does not correspond to any file that is currently available on www-personal.umich.edu. Please double-check the URL or try the search box below." Looks like the developer needs to find a new host for their website.

I just downloaded and ran 1.8.1 and the demo won't allow me to create reminders. I get a nag window when I select New Reminder or New Quick Reminder from the menu.

This application is a wonderful little nag. I've been using it for a couple of months and it's a snap to set up. It doesn't have tons of bells and whistles, but I have those bells and whistles in other reminder applications -- and I don't use them! With MenuMinder I can quickly create reminders on the fly right from the menu bar, and that's exactly what I want. If I need something "deeper," I can use iCal. With MenuMinder I can get a pop-up window, an email or a text message, and that is very handy for traveling. The author is responsive and quick to address feature requests. The only features I could ask for at this point are some keyboard shortcuts -- I tried adding my own, but they didn't work -- and to have the "OK" button already highlighted/selected so that I can just tab and arrow through the date and hit return. Then I would really be flying!

This application might be better than others because it allows for quick easy access without fumbling for a post it note on the screen, or having to waste space on the screen with notes...I also like that it gives options for using it with emails as well...I would like to give this one a shot

No stars, no reviews, this software is for me. I want to be able to: Create quick, simple reminders straight from your menu bar. Quickly create a reminder using the system-wide menu that can be accessed from any application. Never forget anything ever again. MenuMinder can also email you reminders or send reminders to your mobile phone.

hmm... this might be exactly what my wife needs.... I'm the computer geek, not her. I'll have to see if it's significantly easier to enter quick alarms in here rather than in ACP or Daylite or x app or the microwave to suit our needs.

I like the menu bar convenience but it's way to featureless. If you modify your app to allow editing of existing reminders, copy / paste, and print out the list window then it will be closer to being worth the ten bucks. As it stands it should be a freebie.
