So I've got a few QII add-ons (Reckoning, Ground Zero and Juggernaut). Does anyone know how to use them with this application, or do I need to boot into Windows to use them? I can't find any information at all on how to use them.
It will download the demo files for you if you don't have a valid baseq2 folder (either from the demo or from the full version of Quake II for PC or Mac).
Dear Pietro, you write you have found a Java-version of Quake II.. Can you reveal to us where to find it? Our searches had no result, thusfar. For nostalgic reasons we would love to play the old Quake:-) My current machine is an eMac (PPC G4 with OS X 10.4.11).

Updated to 10.4.2 w/ Quicktime 7.0.1 and still no music. Can I at least get some info as to how I would fix it myself by maybe modifying the sourcecode to use QT7's MP3/MP4 driver and compile it with Xcode?

Music is broken in 10.4 and when Quicktime 7 is installed.
Wondering if anyone still cares enough about this old game to fix the problem ;-( ...

It's great, except that it slows down the key repetition rate after quitting the game. I''ve set it to maximum in System Preferences and after running Quake II I have to go and move the slider back and forth to get back the speed of key repeat.

Same issue here with M-Audio sound card. Must be a driver bug or something. I hope it can be fixed, I love Q2.

I'm currently looking at the source code perhaps I'll figure out what m-audio is doing wrong with the sound reproduction and get a patch done for this.

i have the same issue with my M-Audio card. Must be a driver bug. :(
Twice now in the last month (most recently about an hour ago) launching Quake II has caused my MacBook to spontaneously restart. Has anyone else encountered this issue? I've got an original MacBook, 1.83ghz, 2gb RAM and I'm running 10.5.4.
