I already purchased the 20$ app called NuKit by the same developer, but I love the UI and features of the free Launcher app which are missing in NuKit! (show in finder, copy path, etc.)
So please, either include the missing features and the great interface to NuKit, or, even better, make a pro/paid version of Launcher with no ads! (as I rarely use the other features of NuKit anyways)
Launcher is not a paid app at the moment- they've released a new version and it's a free demo app from the App Store that provides the functionality of the Launcher app while displaying running ads for the company's other products. If you don't mind ads, grab it!
I actually liked this better than Quicksilver, but with the ads, I can't stand to have it on my machine, so I've removed it, even though I paid for it. I've lost a huge amount of respect for this company.
Launcher won't replace QS for me, it's not even close. I tried this app today and it:
- Didn't accept my one-button shortcut
- Hung significantly at startup
- Caused a lot of CPU when active
- Didn't index my applications before some extra work
It has a nice interface and contains no useless features, which is good. There's still a lot of work to do, though.
I picked up Launcher for free while it was on sale in the MAS. I wasn't expecting much, but it's turned out to be my favourite launcher to date (and I have tried a bunch). My primary needs are speed and simplicity, and Launcher delivers on both. The ability to add custom commands to open files, websites, search engines and run scripts is a nice bonus feature that I didn't think I would need, but I now find indispensible.
For the price of free, Launcher is a bargain. I would have paid $5 for sure, but I'm not sure I would have bought it at the full $10 price.
I'm holding back half a star on my rating because Launcher is missing two minor but useful features. The first feature is the ability to specify the font size in the Launcher window. It's fine on my MacBook Pro, but it's too small on the big screens hooked up to my Mac Pro. The second useful feature would be the ability to reorder commands in the preferences window, so I could group them by type or whatever.

Also, using the link above, there's no need to use the Mac App Store to obtain it.
