Top 5 Roblox Games to Play on Your MacBook

Roblox is its own world where gamers can be creative, get chaotic, or engage in some downright addicting games. Best of all, it can all be done directly from a MacBook. While Apple has made great strides in redefining how folks game on a Mac and macOS, there are still some that can be incredibly fickle. Fortunately, Roblox is capable of running smoothly without installing additional software or creating funky setups.

Below, we’ve got the top five games you should check out in Roblox directly on your MacBook. We’ll take a look at what makes them so engaging, why they’re fun, what makes them worth your time, and most importantly, why they’re so fun. Let’s have a look.

1. Steal a Brainrot

Steal a Brainrot is one of the most popular games on Roblox right now. The game follows a simple concept where players visit the spawner to buy Brainrots and add them to their collection at their base. These Brainrots generate money automatically, allowing you to expand your collection and upgrade your defenses against other players who want to steal them.

The game reached 7 billion visits in July 2025 and achieved a peak of 5 million concurrent players during that period. Steal a Brainrot made history in October 2025 by becoming the first game ever to surpass 25 million concurrent users, reaching 25.4 million players. This milestone broke the previous record held by Grow a Garden and even decimated Fortnite's all-time peak of 15.3 million concurrent players.

The game won Best Creative Direction at the 2025 Roblox Innovation Awards, and maintains an average of around 1 million concurrent players on regular days. Folks entangled in the game find its capture-the-flag-like qualities alluring, and you’re sure to spend hours defending your Brainrots.

2. Grow a Garden

Grow a Garden is a farming simulator game where you buy seeds, plant them, wait for them to grow, harvest, and then sell them. The concept is straightforward, but the game features a huge variety of plants, regular events that keep the experience fresh, and limited-time seeds that require active play to acquire.

Grow a Garden reached over 32 billion visits by October 2025, making the game the fastest Roblox experience to reach one billion visits and currently holds around 9.5 million favorites. The game achieved its peak concurrent player count of 22.3 million on August 23, 2025, making it the second most concurrently played game in video game history after Steal a Brainrot, and surpassing Fortnite's record of 15.3 million,

3. Plants vs Brainrots

Plants vs Brainrots is basically Plants vs Zombies, but adds its own unique twist. The game features a huge variety of plants and brainrots, and then that’s where the surprise comes in. After defeating these brainrots, you add them to your collection to generate money for you. You later use this money to buy more equipment or seeds to get stronger plants.

Released in August 2025, Plants vs Brainrots reached nearly nine million concurrent players over a recent weekend, placing it among the top four most-played Roblox games. The game has surpassed 2.5 billion visits with over 1.1 million favorites and maintains a rating of approximately 96%. After its initial surge, the game maintained an average of 856,000 concurrent users and surpassed one billion visits.

The game is developed by Yo Gurt Studio, led by Jandel, who is also behind the hit Grow a Garden. Players can access the game on desktop, mobile, tablet, and console, with an average playtime of about 13 minutes per session.

4. Blox Fruits

Blox Fruits is one of the OG Roblox games that has been around for a while now, with a huge fan base that loves One Piece. The game was first released in January 2019 by developer Gamer Robot Inc. and it’s built a dedicated community over the years.

Players can choose between two main factions: marines or pirates. Both sides fight bandits to earn XP and cash, hopping from island to island while accepting quests that involve killing enemies. The game currently has a level cap of 2800 and features over 40 different fruits that grant various abilities for damage, mobility, or survivability.

Blox Fruits has amassed over 20.9 billion visits with a 94% positive rating, making it one of the most popular games on the platform. Fruits spawn on the map every hour and despawn after 20 minutes, while the Blox Fruits Dealer restocks random fruits every 4 hours. Players gain three stat points per level that can be distributed across melee, defense, sword, gun, and Blox Fruit stats to customize their build and playstyle.

5. Murder Mystery 2

Murder Mystery 2, or MM2 for short, is a round-based survival game where players are assigned different roles to either solve a murder or commit one. The game was created by Nikilis on January 18, 2014, and is based on Garry's Mod: Murder mode.

Players are assigned one of three roles. Innocents who must run and hide from the murderer, the Sheriff who has a weapon to take down the murderer, or the Murderer who must eliminate everyone before time runs out. The game features three different modes: Standard, Disguises, and Assassin, which players can switch between at any time.

Murder Mystery 2 has accumulated over 22.3 billion visits with 19.6 million favorites and 8 million likes. The game became the most visited game on Roblox from March to July 2017. Players can collect and trade hundreds of different knife designs, with the ability to level up, prestige, and gain virtual weapons through mystery boxes, trading, and crafting.

Departing Thoughts

While there’s plenty to explore in the world of Roblox, these five of the most popular games will get you going in the right direction to really get the best experience. All of them are available on your MacBook, and each one is going to run pretty smoothly on macOS. Collect brainrots, grow gardens, defend yourself from enemies, or go sailing as a pirate. Whatever you choose, you’re no doubt going to have a load of fun once you snag one of these titles and get gaming.
