Despite all the angry people about how Apple jumped from Final Cut Pro 7 to X, this is great software. Sometimes you have to destroy what you have to create something really good… even Microsoft learned it after so much compatibility layers over the years. Was it hard for me to change from FCP 7 to X? Yes, it was hard and a leap of faith, but I it paying out. I do recommend this editor to everyone, prosumer or professional.

The current version is 10.4.3. MacUpdate: You can delete this review when you update the listing. You should have some mechanism for letting your users notify you when a listing needs to be updated.

Cannot recommend FCPX: the UI is cluttered, obtuse, and slow. Media management is cumbersome, and even the most basic adjustments use OS9-like controls. Yesterday I (very sadly) removed FCPX and Motion from my computer. Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve offers much better design, interface, control, media management, and speed. Apple has given little love or support to professional users in this, and many other 'Pro' apps. I didn't abandon Apple – they abandoned me.

works like a charm on my 4GB 11" Macbook Air. Software like it should be, no bullshit, complicated workarounds, unnecessary learning curves, lets you focus on your creative stuff, not to waste time finding ways to perform simple operations.

Not a review but comment: why is the price in Europe €330 at the AppStore? Currently $299 .99= €251,40

First, $299 excludes the sales tax, while the euro price includes it.

It is too large size, even it works well.
MovieMator is much more light weight, and meets all your needs of video editing.

Really? You compare Final Cut Pro X with Moviemator?
Export Video Length: Up to 5 Minutes (!).

Your large public app collection seems devoted to the products of a single developer.

Comparing FCP X to MovieMator is like saying a small car is equivalent to a large truck for carrying goods. MovieMator may fit your needs, but certainly not of those who do more. To claim MovieMator meets all video editing needs is utterly exaggerated. Also, performance is hardly the same.

not very stable with my 2013 MacPro, Identified several ways top crash FCPX which Apple could reproduce but no fix yet... also would wish you had a feature which allows purging of unused footage

Final Cut Pro X is the best money can buy. You can a lot for the 'low' price compared to any other pro editing tool. With the new Touchbar it seems to be even more interesting. If only had $2700 for a new MBP. :-)
Version 10.3

cant see improvements it's rather less user-friendly like most stuff Apple does lately, now it requires more clicks to change timeline thumbnail size not to happy so far..
