MacZip overview
MacZip is an archiver designed for macOS with tersely but complete functions. Supports more than 20 popular archive formats, such as rar, zip, 7z, tar, gz, bz2, iso, xz, lzma, apk, lz4.

A very good (and free!) alternative to BetterZip. I prefer MacZip's GUI. Allows direct browsing of all common formats. Maybe lacks some advanced features compared to BetterZip, but very handy for daily use!

Another interesting use for MacZip: it unpacks .crx extensions (from Chrome webstore), very useful if you use ungoogled Chromium, for example, as sometimes it won't open directly an extension.

This application seems to have a new name: MacZip, which has been updated for Big Sur. The eZip file is not found when you click download, so go to the dev's site for MacZip.

I didn't remember I had installed it long time ago and it looks like a nice alternative to BetterZip.
I've rediscovered it while searching for an app to open Android's apk files.
