System management from one easy menu.

Overview

DoYourData Start Menu is a smart and comprehensive start menu/taskbar for OS X 10.7 and later. It is a start menu similar to the one found on Windows, but it is much more powerful than the Windows start menu. DoYourData Start Menu gives you easy access to applications, frequently-used functions, disk management and other tasks, junk removal, shutdown/restart, etc.

Features
  • Applications List - DoYourData Start Menu will list all the applications on your Mac: you can easily search, find, and open the applications you want.
  • Task Manager - Check memory and CPU usage, manage tasks, and close unnecessary apps to speed up your system.
  • Clean Up Junk - 1 click to clean up downloads and Trash.
  • Manage Startup Items - Check the startup items and remove the unnecessary ones to increase boot speed. It also allows you to add new startup items.
  • Disk Manager - Manage disks and devices: format disks and external drives, USBs, digital cameras, and card storage media.
  • Quick Visit - Quickly view folders and frequently-used functions using shortcuts.
  • Other Features - Shutdown/restart/sleep button; easily manage the voice, brightness, and background.

DoYourData Start Menu is shareware with a 30-day free trial.

Actually, you don't need start menu on Mac because there is a start icon on your Mac. But, if you were once a PC user, start menu is useful. I used doyourdata start menu for 3 months, not bad.

All of the reviews are fake. DoYourData is a Chinese company trying to scam a quick buck. Avoid this at all costs.

I read the reviews here. They seemed a bit strange. I went to the website for the app where they have very similar reviews at bottom of page from completely different people - actually random looking photos of people with names under them… I'd be careful of this one, then again, maybe it's OK. You'd just have to find out for yourself.

I have a PC and Mac. I don’t like Mac OS. Start menu bring the Windows-style start menu to my Mac. It is simple to use and offers more useful tools than Windows start menu. Thanks guys, your app is amazing. 30 days free to use is also so good.

I am using this app. It works perfectly on my iMac in my workplace. I don’t like Mac OS. I have been using a PC for 5 years. This app gives an easy management on Mac, just like a manage bar on iMac. But I hope the interface will be improved.

First of all, this is NOT a freeware. It is a free trial. When you use it after 30 days, it requires upgrade for $ 4.99. However, it is much cheaper than other menu bar apps. I download it on my MacBook Air, It has a small icon like a start menu at the left bottom when I close it, then I can open it from that icon. Just like a Windows 7 start menu. And it has many features, like formatting hard drive, empty trash bin, quick launcher, etc. Not bad.

‘DoYourData Start Menu’ is USELESS, it does NOT even load on macOS Sierra 10.12.3. Much like its development company’s ridiculous name (i.e. “DoYourData”) indicates, command of the English language and of Mac development standards are obviously irrelevant to this typical Chinese ‘developer’ (cough!!!) Stay away from this turkey. Do NOT believe the five star ratings of the two obviously FAKE reviewers: ‘jim-gtt’ and ‘owaa-cache01'
