This app rocks!! I've been looking for something like this for a long time and so glad I finally found it.

It can be really hard tracking how best you are spending your time when you're constantly besieged by distractions and those distractions can totally undermine your motivation to get things done. Even efforts to track things can become a distraction in themselves especially when you need your mental focus on a difficult task or problem.

This app is non invasive and quietly and intuitively figures out what's wasting your time! The ability to see a metric on exactly how productive you are being combined with what the biggest time wasters are really helps! Now I've find I'm more motivated as I make it a point to keep that metric high and kill anything that's non productive. In fact it's telling me now I'm spending too much time on this review! LOL.

Well I just had to give a shout out to the developers for such a perfect little piece of software.

I'm adding this to my list of must have apps for the Mac. Highly recommend!

This thing is not only amazing, but it is actively worked on and regularly updated. Beautiful design, and really excellent automatic reporting features. I can't say enough good things.

I have been using Qbserve since June 2016. I'm a professional software developer who was looking for a tool to help me keep track of daily browsing habits and other productivity killers. I was interested in an application that was private, easy to use, and unobtrusive, and Qbserve fit the bill. I now have it installed at both my home and work macbooks, and I have found it incredibly helpful for maintaining work productivity and cutting out unnecessary habits. The developers have been very responsive and consistent in releasing new features and improvements.

Really polished app. Been using it for a few months now, and with the latest version (1.62), it kind of does everything you'd need as a freelancer. Automatically adding activities to projects based on rules (like the title or the path of the open document), but also being able to manually add them is a bliss. I'd say being able to manually create an activity that wasn't tracked would be the only thing missing here (think of phone calls, for example). The app also offers pretty solid invoice creation and management, with really great nice to haves, like automatically pre-filling the hourly rate & contact info based on the current project's previous invoices, or keeping track of what was invoiced so far and not allowing you to add the same activity to more than one invoice It also caters to the non-professionals, with simple to categorize activities, and a beautiful Dashboard, where you can see at a glance the productive & distracting times (also as percentages), and a per-hour/day/etc graph for the currently selected period. Great developer as well, open to feedback and suggestions!

The Qbserve app is a good way to track your habits and to show the hard reallity of how you have been spending your time in front of computer. In my opinion the Qbserve is the best of activity trackers because it's fully automactic, private and intuitive! My productivity have been increasing a each day with Qbserve. Overall I really enjoyed this app.

This is the most potent time tracking software I ever tried. It is very expensive. But, it is much more complete than any of the apps I tried.
The whole system is very similar to RescueTime. I have been using Rescuetime for a long time. It is is another great software. The problem with Rescuetime is that I have to pay for monthly fee for downloading my reports. In addition, it collects data only when I am online.

Since I am trying to concentrate on my work by switching off the Internet, the Qbserve turn out to be the best alternative. I have tried more than 10 apps for the purpose. Timing is fairly good one for offline tracking. But, the Qbserve is much better. My only recommendation for the developers is to add some blocking features into it: just like Focus.

Focus (https://heyfocus.com) + Qbserve = a great system to control myself and track my progresses. The distraction is all over. I need the system to help me focus.

It looks nice but it is too much money, I'd pay around $20 for this app. if you priced the app lower you would probably make up the difference in more sales. I imagine there are a lot of people who would like this information but aren't willing to shell out $40 for it when there are other apps that do the same at $10.

Best of luck!

Thank you!

Sorry but a lower price would be unsustainable for the development. Qbserve is a professional tool and we are currently adding more features for freelancers and consultants like project tracking and invoicing.

Most of the competitors are subscription-based and they ask from $50 to more than $100 for only one year.

Very insightful and unobtrusive. If you are one to get to the end of the workday and wonder where the time went, this is great. There have been some rough edges, but they are getting fixed at an incredible rate, so I expect to be able to update this review to 5 stars any day now.
