Anytune is a terrific alternative to the much better known Amazing Slow Downer. It has a great user interface, and it's very easy to adjust the start and end points, the tempo, and the pitch. "Tuned" files can be exported in high-quality WAV format. I used to use Amadeus for pitch- and tempo-adjustment, but from time to time I'd get sound artifacts that made the results unusable. I have never had any problems of this sort with Anytune. Another nice feature of Anytune is the ability to set up playlists. This has been invaluable for music workshops and classes that I've taught.

Anytune's rating on the App Store is well deserved. 166 ratings, 149 of them 5 stars. Anytune gives the user fine control over both pitch and tempo, but the most important feature is that the audio quality is outstanding, far better than I've gotten with any other similar application. It is well worth the $30 cost.

Sure, and any car can drive down the road. But not all of them can do so like a Jaguar can.
