Sporting more high-end features than you can shake your mouse at, watermark pro is still simple to use. All watermarks can be individually configured.

General Features
  • intuitive object-oriented editor with advanced features and smart alignment help
  • add as many watermarks (text, logo, map, QRCode) as you like
  • all watermarks (text, logos, maps, QRCodes) can be positioned anywhere, freely resized and rotated
  • all watermarks support transparency, shadow, and blend modes

I have cf/x alpha which have the watermark feature. What does cf watermark pro can do more than the cf/ alpha watermark feature? I could be interested in buying it for ease of use.

Are there any differences in "functionality" between the Mac Store and Your store version? I already know that the Mac Store updates will lag from your store version. I'm just wondering if there were any other differences. Thank you... m(_ _)m

The web version is fully unlocked (MAS requires multiple purchases for individual functiuonality), and this version is not Sandboxed like a MAS App must be, allowing WMP more leeway where to write watermarked images. The remaining fuctionality is identical. You can download WMP and test for free, so try it out! :)

I work for cf/x and my views are biased.

There was a good description of how to save the watermark separately from the image on the MacApp Store. I couldn't post a comment there, but I think this is a really nice app. I love the functionality of changing size, etc. right on the image. It even loads the available fonts so you can see them. Thanks!

I finally decided to buy it in order to support your cf/x, I own most of their product and I haven't been disappointed so far. The feature and possibilities are just great. I tried to insert a logo with a white background and multiplied the blend, and the background disappeared without affecting the logo design! I never had such perfect result with another product. I suppose Photoshop can do it, but I never figured out how to do it, this prove that this software is very user-friendly. If you are looking for a software that can integrate both text and logo watermark that looks professional, don't hesitate to download and give a try to this excellent software, not to mention that it's really cheap! I don't regret my purchase anyway.

WMP is designed especially for batch-processing, the one thing alpha can't do. Alpha is more powerful by orders of magnitude, although it currently lacks some of the features WMP has: Smart text based on EXIF, QRCodes, Map integration. Since WMP is a free download (and works 100%, but with the batch size limited to 5 items per run), you may find it advantageous to just download and try it. Please note: I work for cf/x, and my view is biased.

Thank you for your quick reply. Is it possible to change the opacity of a logo integrated in a photo ?

Not only is it possible to change the transparency of a logo, you can use 'multiply' or 'screen' blend modes, as well as logos with their own alpha mask. Multiply is especially useful if your logo uses a black background - that will automatically become transparent. Maybe you really should download and try :)

Thanks. 1) Is this feature available on cf/x alpha as well ? 2) By any chance, do you know if it's possible to display the logo on the photo only when someone try to steal the photo from my site when right clicking ? I suppose it's not a matter of photo format, but who knows?

Unfortunately, I can only answer the first question: alpha supports blend modes as well, but *many* more than just the three WMP supports. In addition to that, alpha's central ability is transparency, so not only can it control a flat transparency, it can auto-generate complex transparency masks. For more questions with regards to alpha (which we are more than happy to answer) please contact us directly at support@cfxsoftware.com With regards to your second question: I don't think that such a function exists - if the browser can display the image without a watermark, a short analysis of the HTML will reveal the URL and anyone can simply get the image off your server. Or take a screenshot and crop it. But I'd be happy to be proven wrong, as that would be a great feature to bring into WMP.

It happened to me before to copy a photo off a site (which apparently was without watermark) and when I opened my copy, there was a big logo of the website in the middle of the picture so that I couldn't use it. Of course, we can take a screenshot, but I also found some feature that when you hover the picture, you cannot copy it as it disable the right click.

Ah. Those 'tricks' are entirely done in HTML or Javascript. When you mouseover, the code substitutes another image, or links to a pre-fabricated (usually better quality) version that has the watermark, or simply does not respond to the click. I'm quite sure that you can quickly find samples to do this on the web - for example here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/9400883/change-image-on-hover But that is not done by the image itself, but your browser.
