Syncovery overview
Syncovery is used to back-up your data and synchronize Macs, servers, notebooks, and online storage space.
You can set up as many different jobs as you need and run them manually or using the scheduler. The software comes with support for FTP, WebDAV, Amazon S3, and AES file encryption, as well as SSH and ZIP compression. There are powerful synchronization modes, including Standard Copying, Exact Mirror, and SmartTracking.
Numerous improvements to make an extremely versatile synchronizing and back-up tool. The wealth of features fulfills all requirements that users typically have, while still being easy to use.
What’s new in version 10.15.4
- Adds alternative authorization methods for the Graph protocol (used to access Sharepoint/M365 sites). Customers can do their own app registration in the Azure portal, and can work with the scope Sites.ReadWrite.Selected.
- Adds features to sign PGP encrypted files as well as to verify PGP signatures on decryption.
- Fixes an error that occurred when downloading converted Google Docs into an Sz file.
- Fixes the “Show detailed progress or results in browser” which did not work correctly since 10.15.2. Background progress reporting on Linux was also affected.
- The QNAP packages are now correctly code-signed again.

I posted a long positive comment, along with a 5* rating, back in 2012 (see below). It's 12 years later, and I thought it was time to post again to say that Syncovery has never let me down. It's interface doesn't have a lot of eye candy (probably due to it being cross-platform), and now and then I've checked out the competition to see if there's anything a bit easier to set up but as functional and reliable. I've yet to find anything that comes close to Syncovery in regard to comprehensive options and customizability. Perhaps even more important, the few times I've had an issue, I've always gotten swift and helpful support (the issues have typically been due to me not reading release notes carefully enough to see how a new feature or setting was relevant to one of my existing sync profiles). As a scientist who regularly uses three machines (office/home desktop/laptop), I typically use it multiple times per day. I consider it one of my essential apps, and one of my best software investments. And I love that it's stayed the product of a small, devoted developer all this time.

last version 10.7 on developer's website, ready for Sonoma, BUT still needs a "helper", roseeettta. So, minus 1 star.

a bit strange, last comment back in 2019. I'm trying it, and it does the job very quite nicely simple and fast. Back up/sync folder to folder.
