A simple, free and very useful application. I am not a mathematician, am a linguist, but sometimes I/we need such applications for our formal presentations. I have used this one precisely for this purpose and have always been satisfied.

I'm a former user of Expressionist and MathType, now fully converted to LaTeX. I can tell you that once you got used to LaTeX, you'll never go back to any graphical maths editor such as MathMagic or MathType.

They are so desesperate that they're now releasing this Lite version for free, just to attract more users.

The full LaTeX engine is free, easy to install, and MUCH more powerfull than any graphical editor. If you're into any level of maths/physics/sciences activities, just get LaTeX for free. Contrary to some beliefs, LaTeX isn't archaic, it's actually the proper way to go !

Kalice, don't mislead people here. This is a free app and it's got great feature. Please also make sure to try the software before you REVIEW it.
I use TeX, LaTeXiT, MathMagic regularly, and it's great to have this free version.

Why people are using MS Word while LaTeX can do the same or better in many cases? Why Apple did something on Unix while you can do anything on Unix if you learn unix commands, scrips, and C language?
If you just want to tell people you are smart enough to learn LaTeX within a few weeks, this is not the place.

Kalice, your approach is entirely incorrect; your logic is : I use LaTExt, any other app is bad. You MUST analyze the app under scrutiny, to another app you consider better. It is also incorrect to give 1 star as long as you do not in fact use THIS app, but another one.
There must be a deontology of writing reviews, please try to follow it.
There are currently no troubleshooting comments. If you are experiencing a problem with this app, please post a comment.
