I used this program heavily in the late 1980s and throughout the 1990s and beyond when it was called Theorist. My needs have changed somewhat and I rarely use it nowadays but I would use it more if the interface were updated a little. I understand the developer is working on an update but it's been a long time I guess. This program is great because you can do your math more or less like you would on a sheet of paper by dragging stuff around and invoking some menu commands but without making mistakes. This is markedly unlike Mathematica in that you don't need to learn a programming language and you can arrange your math on the page the way you want to see it instead of the way Mathematica thinks it should be arranged. It also has several types of plotters that are also highly interactive. It's what a Computer Algebra System should be.

I purchased Live Math a decade or so ago. I had a 'perpetual license. I last opened it a couple of years ago on my Mac Book Pro under 10.6.8. When I attempted to open it the other day, a message appeared tellming me that my authentication code had expired and that the I should register by e-mail for a new one using my prior code. However, the website seems to be out of commission. now (August 2016).. Anyone know what's happened. is there any way to get this up and running again?
