Create documentation, notes, essays and more.

Overview

With Markdown Pro, you can write beautiful documentation, notes, essays, term papers all by using plain text to tag your formatting such as bold, italic, lists and others. Need a heading? add # before your text; need to make a text bold? add * around your *text*.

Using the plain text formatting, it is really easy and fast to type. You will never have to take your hands off the keyboard, so you can focus on writing. Markdown PRO provides live preview of beautifully formatted text using one of the provided templates. See the results as you type.

It takes less than a minute to learn it!

Your formatting stays where it should, with your text. You can apply a different template at any time to change the colors and size of the text you write.

Looks interesting, but as a fellow developer I'll give you a tip: People do not generally become your customers if you offer no trial and just force people to purchase the app via the AppStore without trying. I'd love to trial this app sometime, but I would never buy any app without trying it first, so I'll have to pass on this one.

Just an observation: * No trial version? * Lion is still featured on the developer's website as of December 17, 2013? * Last updated in July 2012? So there is not one single little compatibility improvement with Mavericks that could have been done? (Even the free Mou, which appears to be very similar to this app has been updated recently.) Frankly, this doesn't inspire confidence. Starting to look like abandonware.

Did send an email to the developer with the above as well — actually did get a response: “We have been working hard on building the next version of Markdown Pro with many improvements…. We are in the final phases of development with great support for Mavericks.” I guess, it's wait and see...

I'd buy Markdown Pro in a minute if I could buy it directly from the developer and if they offered a 10.6.8 version. I'm sure Radsense are costing themselves a fortune, as people like me who prefer Snow Leopard and don't like the app store are exactly the sort of people who would like a Markdown editor with custom preview.

Thanks for letting us know about this, Ozron! I've updated the price so that no one else get a nasty surprise. :-)

I have tried several markdown editors, and I think this one is hands-down the best. Very easy to use, nice choice of stylesheets, and exports very clean HTML.

Risked it and bought the application. One word: Awesome. If you're looking for a great way to create support documents, application manuals or simply clean documents, Markdown Pro is the app to go for. Definately worth its money.

How is that helpful to anyone wanting to know whether this app is worth buying or not? I mean, it's great that you have your own opinions as to How The World Works and what-not, but I don't think that the developer is really looking for random business advice at this point, and certainly not on this site. You had nothing to say, yet you said it anyway.

Eighty: whether it's business advice or a request from a potential customer, I think David-Schiefer's entitled to express his point. No reason to nullify people's opinions, as long as they relate to the software in question; in this case, the software's distribution model.
