Shade Control overview

Shade Control places a dark transparent shade over your display to provide a wider range of brightness settings. Don't suffer from eye strain any longer. Shade Control is your new best friend.

Simply tap it's icon on the top menubar to adjust the brightness controls. For quick transitions, tap the icon in the dock and use the left and right arrow keys to adjust the brightness.

Whether you are in a pitch dark room, or just dealing with a headache. Shade control can provide the perfect brightness setting for your needs.

It does one thing and one thing only. It Darkens/reduces the brightness/glare of your screen. You have a slider in the app to adjust the intensity. I'm sure you can figure out the reasons why you would want this, but i use it often and works "simples"
