Is this new? I cannot download and try this product? I cannot use the MacUpdate interface? Must I go to the app store? To this and other developers: while I love the Macintosh and have used Apple products since 1982, I find the App Store offensive and will not launch it. Frankly, it is one of the reasons that I use my aggregator and review the new stuff here, at MacUpdate, several times each week. I use many shareware products regularly. Any that are used are bought. Oh, about etuner. I am taking a singing course and thought that this might be useful (to someone like me who has a poor sense of pitch). I guess I will never know. But, I thought I should comment.

Like it or lump it, the App Store is the way it's going. I too have used Macs since System 6 and wish many things were like the old days. But because of Malware, it's MUCH safer to buy software from the App Store because it has been tested and found to be free of nasties. There is plenty of information about an application, so you can find out whether or not it's what you want before you buy it. If you have a poor sense of singing pitch, I honestly don't know how this application is going to help you. This is for tuning instruments, guitars, etc. Not for correcting tone deafness.
