MailShoot is a really good all-in-one solution for those who like to take control of their own website marketing and promotion campaigns. Up until now I've been coding my own forms, adapting a formmail.php and using SerialMailer to manage the databases and compose and send out the emails. Creating a form with MailShoot only takes a few minutes and requires no knowledge of code or scripts. This feature alone more than justifies the extra cost over an app like SerialMailer. If you have more than a couple of hundred subscribers, its very cost effective compared with using a marketing service. Importing an existing database is quick and intuitive and the interface is easy to understand and use. MailShoot should be of interest to those who use iWeb and/or publish to MobileMe since the Apple server is not capable of running the necessary scripts but does have the advantage of one click publishing. With the addition of a Quick Start Manual and some HTML Flyer templates, this could be a five star application.
