Patterno v. 2.7.1 hasn't obviously been translated into English. It's completely in Russian, except the template names. So, for most users this version will be unusable.

The program is pretty good, but it has not been updated for Yosemite yet and IT CAN'T SAVE on 10.10. I have contacted the developer 11 days ago, but never got any reaction. It hasn't been updated since mid-2013, so I guess it's dead but still being sold. Shame.

I just bought Patterno, and I think its a great tool for making textures and patterns. I have one question/request though. Is it possible to make the objects option in confetti filter the same as the objects option in the dots filter? In the confetti filter its not possible to select an object and delete it. The last object placed is the first to be deleted. I would like to be able to put my own object in the confetti filter, without a standard object, which is not possible at the moment. Could this be fixed? Thanks

Hi, I'm not actually sure whether I got the problem properly, but: 1. Add some new objects 2. Select one you want to delete 3. Click on the "-" button It works for me with the latest build, should work for you too. If you have some issues with this functionality (which is the same for all object-based filters) - please, drop me an e-mail onto the support at neatberry.com.

I tried the demo just because I saw a banner in these pages. Seamless textures, I have read on the banner, which are not. Maybe not important for the most, but was what I needed. I wait this feature, then I buy.

Hi, I've checked our banners and can't find one with "seamless textures". Seamless patterns - yes, that's what we are advertising. Could you specify when and where did you see it?

For Neatberry: Seamless feature is only partially working, just with the simpler patterns, so far I could see. For the banner, I saw somewhere in Google Reader feeds. It's a Google Adsense banner, I'm sure of that. I only could take a screenshot. You can see it here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/386191/screenshot.jpg

@Macraidercast, Thanks for the reply. The banners indeed advertise "seamless patterns", but not "textures". Most of our generators support seamless output, exception are "Rays" and "Bokeh" - due to the nature of this generators, i.e. in some input parameters there is no way to produce seamless output for them. All the rest do support seamless output ("Texts" filters has optional tiling, it can be turned off).

This program is worth it just to get the ray burst pattern generators. Yeah, it's not that hard to make your own ray bursts in Photoshop or Illustrator, but it takes time and a lot of steps to get the pattern that you want. This makes it really really easy to produce a whole bunch of ray burst variations quickly. A lot of the pattern templates are mostly filler and have limited use, but I don't hold that against this program. It's to be expected that some patterns are just plain weak and aren't going to be useful. If you get stuck on some unexciting patterns, keep playing with it because there more than a few really useful ones hiding amongst the mediocre templates. The only thing keeping me from giving this a five star rating is the lack of the ability to import your own vectors to use in the patterns. I hope that comes in a future release.

The app supports external graphics, but in a bit different way than built-in shapes. Any bitmap or PDF can be loaded as a graphics object without ability to control the stroke params.

Thanks Neatberry! That's good enough for me. I'll be using this for Web development work so a bitmap or PDF graphic will be good enough for my purposes 90% of the time. This is going to save a load of time!

I LOVE this program. I don't do web development but frequently have to create backgrounds for powerpoint presentations, posters, or just desktop backgrounds. This program has saved me quite a bit of time. I love the features it offers and has proved quite stable for my use (it died once when I was saving a new template). I'm just really impressed with the quality of images it creates as well as the variety of formats it can produce as output. Would definitely recommend you try out the demo as occasionally there are limitations to the templates. For instance, on a "text" template, I'd like to rotate the text to give it an angle, however the program can't do that. Not a huge deal as I can just export it, rotate, and crop in several other programs.

There's a demo version if you follow the link to their website. It produces a watermarked output. Played with the demo, and wow, it's pretty impressive! I was more impressed than expected. I don't know if I'd spend $30 on it, but at half price, it's a pretty good deal. For anyone who needs this sort of thing regularly, it's an awesome deal even at $30.
