Pastebot overview
Pastebot saves everything you copy so that you can quickly recall them in the future. Save and organize frequently-used clippings into custom pasteboards and create keyboard shortcuts to access pasteboards and paste specific clippings. Build filters with a live preview and apply them as you paste. Create keyboard shortcuts to quickly paste using your filters and export your filters to share with other Pastebot users. Pastebot is there when you need it and invisible when you don’t. Quickly access your clippings from any app and search, preview, or filter clippings before pasting. You can even set the order of clippings to paste in sequence.
With iCloud enabled, your main clipboard, custom pasteboards and filters sync across all of your computers running Pastebot. Your clipboard and filters will be on every mac you work on. Create custom pasteboard groups to organize important clippings you want to save and re-use. Assign keyboard shortcuts to clippings you use most often. macOS Sierra’s Universal Clipboard works alongside Pastebot. Copy a clipping in Pastebot and paste it on your iOS device via Universal Clipboard.

This is the best of its kind, and here is why: For many years, I have used the best clipboard manager ever: PTH Pasteboard. Unfortunately, it stopped being developed. So, I looked for one that I can use as if I was using PTH Pasteboard. And voilà: It is Pastebot! With the plus that it looks much nicer than PTH. Pastebot seems to have even more functionalities than PTH, but right now I do not need them. Thank you very much for this!

I have tried so many clipboard apps, including all the top-ranked ones, and I found a couple I like, but for some reason I decided to download a trial of Pastebot. Wow! The filters are great (I added one to strip line breaks from OCR and copied text) and I love that I can assign keyboard shortcuts to them to apply them to whatever's on the clipboard without even opening the Pastebot window. I can also apply shortcuts to different pasteboards so that I can go directly to them, rather than having to open the main window and switch to a different pasteboard as is the case with some other clipboard apps.
A half star off because I can't right-click a clip in my history and quickly "paste as plain text." Instead I have to click the filter icon and select the plain text filter, which works but requires extra time.

I might have considered using this app if Tapbots hadn't abandoned the iPhone version so that I could sync clipboards.

Pretty good thus far. I've tried dozens of such products always hoping to find one that has all the goodies I need. I moved to this product from Clipbuddy which was pretty good but ugly with poor tech support. I had an issue within a day of downloading this new product and got a reply within hours! Awesome. There are still areas that need to be addressed to make it five stars: ClipBuddy did allow me to edit the Pasteboard content if I wanted to, this doesn't. But otherwise this product seems to be a worthy replacement. I like that I can open the product and just start typing to 'find' any clip I need; fast and efficient. Did find an issue sending a clipping to Apple Mail (didn't work) but I was just testing functionality and probably will not use the 'share' feature.
