Create inventories for your home or business.

Overview

MYStuff Pro is one of the most flexible ways to create detail-rich inventories for your home or small business. Add items to MYStuff by dragging and dropping existing information, uploading new images, or scanning barcodes. Finally, getting organized is easy.

Do Inventory Your Way
  • Shop... and Save: MYStuff's built-in browser saves a web archive of the receipt with a single click, and allows you to quickly add a new Record to your inventory right now while it's convenient. Putting a web browser inside MYStuff allows you to easily shop your favorite sites on the 'net, and easily save both information and time. (You can save how-to and informational pages, too.)
  • Fantastic Flexibility: MYStuff organizes things how you do. Don't feel like you have to change how you organize to fit your organization program. MYStuff provides easy ways to organize by category, location, tag, or label.
  • Any Which Way You Want: However you want to get information into MYStuff, we've got you covered. You can easily drag-and-drop into MYStuff from the Finder or other programs to add files to Records, or create hundreds of records all at once. Use your iSight to scan your XBox games and Blu-Ray DVDs? No problem. Access your iPhoto collection? You bet.
  • Extra Extra: MYStuff stores more than stuff. There so much more information about the stuff you buy than when you bought it and how much it cost. Complete information about vendors and manufacturers, specialized vehicle and building category types, warranty calculation, insurance information... if it's related to your stuff, MYStuff lets you save it.
  • And more: Integrate with scanners and other apps using MYInbox. Quickly access your iPhoto database from inside MYStuff. Find online manuals and product photos. Do all this and more with MYStuff.

I tried several home inventory-type programs and this is by far the best one I've used. Why you ask? 1. Extremely easy to use. Works just like its website says it does. 2. Exceptionally well-suited for YOUR organizational style - you don't just dump stuff in if would rather have it set up to your liking. 3. No glitches whatsoever and I've entered numerous items and products. This is worth the money if you are looking for a place to put log your purchases and toss the paper documentation. My house is getting cleaner and cleaner. Thanks.

I downloaded the demo, and I can't get the barcode scanner to work. I am using the built-in iSight on my iMac which doesn't seem to be able to focus when I put the barcode super close. I have to back off to get it clear, but the software doesn't recognize that the barcode is there. Any ideas?

Every iSight has a "sweet spot" of distance and lighting. Ensure you're in a well-lit environment, hold the barcode close (about an inch away), then slowly move it back until the barcode is recognized. The image doesn't need to be in focus for the software to recognize the barcode (MYStuff has some fancy math to correct for the iSight's farsightedness). However, you do need an internet connection since MYStuff uses Amazon's to look up barcodes. Some barcodes aren't in their library and won't be recognized. (If the scanner line keeps going from red to orange, and you hear a "tink" instead of a "ding", this is probably what's going on.) If MYStuff can't find the barcode in Amazon, it won't add it to the database. Once you find the sweet spot for your iSight and know the best distance, you should find scanning to be quite quick.

I purchased "My Stuff Pro" last may of 2013. I must say I love it hands down! Little by little I am adding more stuff in to it. It is so flexible that I can find where I have my stuff physically located, such as if a friend has or where I stored the item. Tracking warranty, saving instructions, receipts, even notes and pictures. I am discovering new features every time I use it. Also I can use it with DropBox which is great. Tech support is impressive and very helpful too. I was even raving about with my friends. Great app and well worth the price.

2.0 has some cool features that the other apps don't. I didn't think the barcode scanning would be a big help but now I'm using it for all kinds of stuff. 2.0 is a solid upgrade that makes this already great app all that much more indispensable. I don't wish for disaster but I know I'm covered if it does.

Seems like a nice update but Little Snitch is going crazy with all the requests to connect to outside websites. I haven't even been able to use the program with all the clicking. Not crazy about this.

MYStuff Pro has many functions that uses the web to gather outside information: • The barcode scanner uses Amazon to look up manufacturer-model-price type information • The "Find photo" and "Find manual" functions use Google to search for those bits of information • The built-in browser, well, it connects to websites. Our privacy policy is clearly stated on our website: http://www.mindersoftworks.com/etc

Tell Little Snitch to allow All connections forever and forget about it. It would be nice if it had an iPhone companion that you could use to take pictures with and sync to the desktop/cloud for added security/convenience

Think the dev. misses his deadlines a lot. Come on, we're talking years here! Think he's keeping his costumers on a leech. Meanwhile the version 1.5.10 isn't updated for a long time and , in my opinion, doesn't give me the benefits of possibilities that are around nowadays Anyway, I think I waited long enough now. Switching to Home Inventory Hope for some that version 2 comes someday but I doubt it.....

We know it took 20 months to release, but MYStuff Pro 2.0 shipped today. We're sure you'll agree that the upgrade — with all of its new features that you can't get anywhere else — was worth the wait. We'll be posting more information about the development in our blog.

Hi Franz. Glad you like version 1! I've been working hard on version 2 since September. It's a complete ground-up rewrite in addition to TONS of new features. I'm behind schedule, but I should have it in beta very soon. Stay tuned!

Now it is February 2013... I am leery of purchasing an app that hasn't been updated in so long. I really like what I see, hopefully the developer is still supporting the app.

When printing is there any way to include location in the print out? There are times when I want to print and keep a copy handy for the purpose of actually finding things that have been "put away".

1.5.3 is the main version number. The ".2" release was a very minor bugfix, and the short version number will still show up in the "get info" dialog. All download sources have been updated to 1.5.3.2, so you should have the most recent version. MYStuff will auto-update if it needs to.

Even when I open the application, it states v1.5.3. This is the only software that I have which does not state the actual version number, and this plays havoc with my MacUpdate Desktop software, which thinks it needs to be updated!
