Licensed offers a place to put your license keys for your software. Every effort was taken to make entering details as quick and painless as possible. After all, software licenses aren't really something you should spend much time worrying about.
What's new in Licensed
Version 1.0:
Uses a smaller font for all controls to be more compact.
Redesigned toolbar icons.
You can now drop applications onto the Licensed icon or onto the main list to create entries for them. It will fill in the product name, version and maker where possible.
Your last-used e-mail address is now remembered and used when you add a license.
The e-mail drop-down list now shows up to 7 items at a time and a scrollbar when there are more.
The delete button is now enabled when more than one license is selected.
When search yields only one result, pressing Return will move focus to the Maker field rather than the list of licenses.
After deleting an item, the focus is on the list of licenses, rather than "nowhere".
Choosing the Find command automatically shows the toolbar if it was hidden.
Fixed a bug where the Search field would stop working after the toolbar customisation sheet was shown.
Added more default vendors.

If you are looking for a simple to use utility to manage the serial numbers of your applications then Licensed is it. The best attribute of Licensed is that it is designed to just store serial numbers, which makes the appearance clean and operation easy. Because it is a beta it is lacking features, understandably. It would be nice if it had a preference pane where default settings could be entered such as the owner's name and email address. These settings would automagically appear in the proper field when creating a new license. The fact that it has a list of built in Software Companies that it will auto-populate in to the "Maker" field is nice. It'll even remembers Makers that you type in that weren't originally in its built-in database. Another feature request would be the ability to "upgrade" applications and the upgraded application to appear nested in the newer applications entry. For example, if I own Photoshop 7 and I upgraded Photoshop 8 I would like to be able to upgrade the Photoshop 7 to Photoshop 8 therefore "attaching" the two together. This would also simplify the interface because it would only show the most recent applications. The built in search is great too. It's a very easy way to find just the application you're looking for. While I'm requesting features the option to show/hide columns would be nice. The Duplicate License is great for people who own multiple versions of the same applications with different serial numbers, though I'd like a Duplicate button in the toolbar. The ability to copy the serial number to the clipboard so it can be pasted in to an installer's dialog box is easy on the fingers.
Great little piece of software. Online synching/storage would be sweet, but totally not necessary. Price is right. Stable, nimble, simple and well-executed. What more could you ask for?
I looove it: simple, powerful and quick access
For all areas 5stars and plus!!
This is all you need. A shame its got a beta tag on it, for me it fells like full totally.
Thanks sooo much!!! - exactly what Mac people have been waiting for, so long...
I'd recommend LittleSecrets for keeping things secure, since it is screaming fast as Universal binary and Fort Knox-alike with its 448 bit Blowfish encryption. Years of experience.
For a beta application this is a very nice start. I'm all for single purpose applications without so many bells and whistles that it becomes the bloatware that I hate so much on PCs. This is small, sleek and easy. One thing I'd like is encryption as my license numbers to me are as important as passwords. Other than that, it suits my purposes perfectly. Kudos to the author!
