Have switched to DataGraph. I used to use DeltaGraph (and still have DeltaGraph 5.7.5 on my MBA) but hvae used it with decreasing frequency over the last 3 or so years. I can't afford the upgrade and my experience with DeltaGraph has been less than stellar, with random crashes souring my experience with it. I also tried Prism but the upgrade cost is a tad high for the frequency of use. Stats and plotting software is really a function of how you use/what you need, so what works for one person may not work for the next. I used to be a keen DeltaGraph user/advocate but too many crashes has directed me to other packages. One big + for DeltaGraph was/is that it can import CricketGraph files - but so can DataGraph. If you are looking for a really solid plotting app with some basic stats, DataGraph is well worth a trial, esp if you are still looking for an app that can deal with CricketGraph files.

Delta graph is a great concept - in theory, you have the flexibility to change colors, symbols, line thicknesses etc that you expect from a scientific graphing program. It also allows the import of other images (like jpgs and tiff) right onto the graph so making a single figure with multiple panels does not require the numerous steps - also great for posters and PPT presentations. It also runs on both PC and MC platforms, which is a great idea for large labs or institutions that want some continuity. However, similar problems on both. It is really only even rated as high as I rated it, because it is better than most of what else is on offer There is really not that much other choice (oh , woe the loss of cricket graph) However, delta graph is buggy, crashes often for no apparent reason (I have been using it for years, so this is not a single version issue) - the legends sometimes appear miles away from your graph, it can not do really scatterplots, and it can not longer directly export to tiff or jpg - which was one of the best features. Perhaps worst of all, tech support has been declining. At one time it was possible (albeit unlikely) to get phone support. There is not even that option anymore. I have had support tickets going for weeks before I get any answer, and one that has been put in 3 times more than a month old (world record). At about 200-300$, not cheap certainly, You expect some basic tech support, a stable program and the advertised features for which you bought the program to work - and things to get better over time, not to decline, which is a bad sign. Summary - good concept, good potential, but in practice frustrating and disappointing.

I've used DeltaGraph for over 10 years and have never seen a program that produces better business charts. I have full control over all settings, and they are crisp and perfect. Plenty of chart types to choose from, very intuitive interface. Highly recommended. The last few versions have ironed out all bugs that I'm aware of.
