Cadintosh is incredible easy to use! I made hundreds of drawings over the time up to very complicated construction plans. As an organbuilder, I use it almost every week to make a quick drawing for woodwooking, etc. I tried a couple of other programs, but the ease of use always made me to come back to Cadintosh. And yes, it is not Autocad. But it costs $32! Worth every penny! And there is a very responsive support.

The problem with this package is it does not really behave like a mac application, it behaves well enough and does a job but its not really mac as we know it on the last 10 or so years. I always loved mac for its ease of use and intuitive feel and if i was going to put that finger on it i feel its that thats missing here

Lemke Software makes Graphic Converter and has been making Macintosh applications for longer than ten years. "it behaves well enough and does a job", well don't get all touchy-feely then if it is doing what it is supposed to.

Yeah, Lemke Software has been writing apps for Macs since 1992. That's 22 years ago, and when Macs ran System 7. I bought my first Mac is 1994 and Graphic Converter was one of the first pieces of software I installed.

His interfaces were always a little different, but he's been part of the Mac community for a very long time.

@RAvenNevermore that was along time in the making after Waveman Graphic convertor yeah great piece of software but we are talking about Cadintosh here, well actually Cadintosh in 2009 to be fair.
Do you actually use this, is it any good, why not do a review then.
Plenty of people make great mac software and also crap stuff too!

Once again, Thorsten Lemke makes me feel stupid. :-) CADintosh has a lot of tools, and like GraphicConverter, I can tell that there's a lot of power there. Unfortunately, my drawings in GC and my CAD in CADintosh look like a toddler's sketches. Maybe I'm too addicted to the idea of 3D CAD to be happy with 2D CAD? Anyway, I can hardly draw a straight line with this software, and I'm afraid I can't recommend it. BTW: The crash problem referred to below has apparently been fixed...

in reply to the last guys comment, the difference in price is for a reason.....Vectorworks is an industry standard, Cadintosh is far from it. You get what you pay for!

Cadintosh is a splendid application, if a little difficult to learn. I have been using it for several years now, and it has been slowly and carefully upgraded. It has unparalleled scope and accuracy, as it is not tied to any scale or page size.
