iBeeZz free download for Mac

iBeeZz

2.9.2
14 August 2019

Schedules daily sleep and wake times for your Mac.

Overview

iBeeZz allows you to setup when your Mac must sleep, wake up, shutdown, startup, restart, etc. You can execute any Automators, AppleScripts, open any files, launch any applications. No matter what you ask iBeeZz to load, from documents to applications to compiled AppleScripts, they will be launched, opened, or executed at the right moment.

Wake up with iTunes....
Select a playlist in iTunes and sleep soundly. iBeeZz will wake you up slowly with some good music. Thanks to a controlled fade in, you won't get an earful of music early in the morning.

Be alerted when your Mac needs to stop you working....
If you are working and if your Mac has to sleep, shutdown or restart, iBeeZz will alert you, letting you dismiss the alert or ignore the event.

Don't know about the older versions but the current version works fine and is significantly cheaper than Power Manager.

I had the problem with v2.9.1 (2090103) for a few days, it rejects my perfectly legitimate license, and every few minutes there's a popup window keeps nagging about there's a new version of 2.9.1 that I should download it! So I wrote an email to iBeeZz dev and explained that the new update won't accept my license. The head of the dev team Olivier (a.k.a. beeloo) respond to my email very quickly, told me there's some issue with the version I've downloaded, and he asked me re-download and try it again. This time v2.9.1 (2090104) did solve my problem, and accepted my license right away. I am very grateful that he respond and solved my problem in very timely way. I became a fan of iBeeZz about 10 years ago still in college, and later bought my license back in 2007. I've been really appreciated that the devs of iBeeZz keep this utility update from time to time. Being a Mac user for almost 13 years, I've been very sad to see a lot of great Mac apps abandoned by its dev! Just name a few: Sidenote (I happily substituted with CloudJot about two years ago, now it's also an abandonware), MenuCalendarClock iCal (hasn't been update six years), Baseline (disk scanning utility, similar to WhatSize but blazing fast scanning speed, also abandonware now, incompatible on the latest OS X), Corkboard (hasn't been update), Billable/Profit Train (same billing app, latest update was a year ago), Overflow (no recent update)....now they all become some distant memories, either they no longer works on the latest OS X, or they work OK but become fossils with no updates for years. I hope iBeeZz team will not give up this very useful utility and brings out more updates in the near future, possibly a new v3.0 too.

Version 2.7.4 works perfectly under Lion, but 2.7.5 is not able to install under Lion, so I keep 2.7.4 on my new MacBook Pro instead.

The 2.7.6 version fixes the installation issue you had with 2.7.5 one. You can update safely.

Doesn't work for me. All I want is for my Mac to shut down at the same time every night, even if it's sleeping. If the Mac is already off, I don't want it to turn on. (The built-in Energy Saver doesn't do this.) If I set iBeezz to "wake if needed" and the Mac is off at the scheduled time, it gets started up: WRONG! Conversely, If I DON'T set iBeezz to "wake if needed" and the Mac is asleep at the scheduled time, it doesn't shut off. Time to try Power Manager (at double the price). iMac G5, Leopard.

Hello, When installing iBeeZz, you must accept its license. As written in the 4th article, "Once you have registered the iBeeZz software, you may install the product on only one computer". Otherwise, please check at your antispam when you are waiting information from us. Regards, The iBeeZz development team

There's a strange behavior I like to report. A year ago I've noticed my PowerBook G4 (Titanium 1Ghz) developed some audio problem. If I listen to anything on my computer, iTunes, QuickTime, or YouTube, you name it - the audio would lost after I moved my mouse or press a key or press an on-screen button, but if I plugin a headphone jack into the port, the sound would come back again before I make another move. I thought nothing but maybe the computer is getting old, maybe the phone jack port has some loose connection problem - like other users has experienced on the Apple forum. Couple days ago I had some other problems and I looked into the Console window, I saw a lot of error logs from iBeeZz. I haven't been use iBeeZz lately, but it was on my startup app item. The error messages of iBeeZz seems none-stop by every second on the log, and it kept complaining about it couldn't find the directory of this certain file that belongs to iBeeZz. So I uninstalled iBeeZz and it's associated files from my PB right away. After it's gone from my system, Voila! The audio came back right away and it has been steady like it should, and no more losing sound again. I am not sure why uninstall iBeeZz would cured my audio problem, but I am sad that iBeeZz is such a good tool, but I cannot have it on my PB until someone look into this problem and fix it.

That's a strange issue you were reporting ! Nobody else did report that kind of problem. However, did you try to reinstall iBeeZz after uninstalling it ?

Still one of my favorite tools. I missed it so much until its return ;-) Old serial from 2004 works fine. All features work fine, as in the past. Fine piece of software which will make work your computer when you are ahead.
