1. Does this cDock create custom dock on it's own or does it inherit the customizations already present from using tools such as Tinkertool, Secret, iTweakX, MacUtil etc...

My customizations: spacers, new list view, mouse highlight in list, custom indicator for open items, recent apps/docks item in the dock, scroll to show content...

2. Is there a way to create backup of the settings in case I want to go back to my customized version of the dock in case I don't like the dock in cDock.

3. What's difference between "Install Transparent dock" and "Install Customizable dock". What options do I have for Customized dock (app description only lists transparent separator on./off and background option).

4. Currently I have multiple spacers in my dock. If I use custom/transparent dock using cDock, can I still add additional spacers? Do I add them using cDock or using the other tools ( Tinkertool, Secret, iTweakX, MacUtil etc... )

I spent good part of my day to customize the dock, I'm worried... if I install cDock and apply one of the settings.. do I lose some of the customizations?

What I was looking for.

I finally installed Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) on my Macbook Air and my first thought re: the light dock background was What is WRONG with APple's UI team???

A web search showed I'm not alone. :-(

cDock could have been easier to use. The "transparent" and "customizable" options don't seem to work on 10.9.2 and there's no documentation. But the pre-made" options work and there's a pre-made option that matches what the dock looked like in Mountain Lion.

I'll take it!

Argh. I used TinkerTool to modify some Dock behaviors, and when it relaunched the Dock, it reverted the appearance back to standard. Now cDock has no effect, even after restoring the Dock to default (from both cDock and TinkerTool) and restarting. I want my 10.8-style 2D Dock back! Help!

Awesome app for something Apple should have as a built-in feature. Note for those expecting an instant fix, you might have to fiddle with the settings a bit, but once you get the hang of it, it is a great way to put the dock back in its place, from a design standpoint.

Very nifty! It's a small, single-purpose utility that does what it does very well! I anchor my dock to the side of the screen (something some developers seem to forget) and I like the transparent setting that shows me just my dock icons, behaving like dock icons, without the opacity of Apple's implementation. Nice job, and kudos to the developer!
