Texture popping is so annoying. This game runs really smooth on my 2011 Mac Mini 6630M, but it's unplayable with the textures popping up everywhere. I hope they fix it.
This is a gorgeous and enveloping title and I'm grateful to play it on my Mac!

CoD:MW doesn't even look this good with these settings. The scenes are gorgeous and the storyline isn't bad considering its an fps and its from id.
I just beat the game and, quite honestly, I was quite let down both by its abrupt ending and overall brevity. I read a handful of reviews regarding this but I can't believe how short it really was... I'm a married father of two toddlers with a full time job. I've yet to beat Borderlands, BioShock, LIMBO, Dragon Age I and II, Prey, Machinarium, etc... and I beat RAGE. I've spent HOURS on those other games over months and I don't get a lot of time to play... if the storyline were extended... *sigh*
It's a beautiful experience, albeit short-lived. I think I'll have to set it at its hardest level to get some real time out of it. It's really hard to suggest they should have invested a little less on the beautifully rendered scenery but I think I was expecting something lasting at least twice as long. They should have gotten whoever wrote the scripts for Bungie's Marathon 2: Durandal or Halo to write RAGE's storyline...
Enjoy the scenery, play it loud and play it on HARD!
It use Lion new OpenGL (req. 10.7.2) but you can see the difference. The game runs ultra smooth with high settings even at 2560x1440, other older games are not that fast. Well done ID and Aspyr.
The game is fun, graphics is awesome, not do original but it has rpg elements and stunning landscape/exploration. For an AAA title it is quite cheap on MAS.
