Trine is a beautiful fantasy action platformer with a fairytale-like atmosphere, following the journey of three heroes - a Wizard, a Knight and a Thief - in a quest to save the kingdom from evil. The gameplay is based on fully interactive physics - each character's different abilities and tactics can be used to invent new ways to battle an army of undead and overcome obstacles, and restore the balance of the world.

Thank God this was made available for purchase at the Mac Game Store. Like many others I refuse to deal with STEAM or the App Store. Both have terrible support and both deliberately cripple software to meet their requirements.
Thank you to the developers of this great game for offering alternatives and I wish you a profitable future with any new projects.
I should actually give a review with the 5 stars. Great music, great ambiance, great visuals and quite an interesting game.
For a second I hoped for ”better game controller support” since the co-op is one of the things that makes the game great (tried it on Playstation 3 with two controllers.
Unfortunately it seems difficult to get USB controllers to work well, especially on the Mac.
If anyone knows of a way to get it work with (say a Logitech USB controller) I'd be happy to know how. :)
I picked this game up during a Steam sale last year for the Bootcamp partition of my Mac for $5. It was hands down a really good investment. I got an average amount of play time out of the game, potentially around 15 hours or so I think if I remember correctly.
Needless to say I was thrilled when the game ported to Steam for Mac this year as well and this great game can now be shared with the Mac community.
The graphics are beautiful in themselves. You could pretty much just sit there and and watch the area you are in and just see the amount of detail that went into crafting each level.
Some puzzles in the game take a bit of thought and others take a bit of chance/skill/timing to get it nailed.
The storyline was alright, but I wasn't really attached to it by any means. I just wanted to run the levels and see all the eye candy and run the fun and intuitive missions.
From my experience on the Steam forums for this game, they have pretty decent tech support and are really quick to get back to you and will be up front and honest with you when it comes to whatever you experience.
There's a Trine 2 coming out soon as well so you should totally check this one out and prepare yourself for the second!
Trine is also available at GamersGate and MacGameStore.com (and Steam as mentioned here), and other services will be added on a case-by-case basis.

The bad news is that's only on the MacAppStore.
