Where are mirrors for the older Universal Binary versions? I run a Quad G5 with 16GB of ram, more than enough to run a tiny player application so take your upgrade comments and blow it out your rear.

Well, my review still stands. Sorry but pushing your BETA as the mainline product at the expense of the older Stable is just stupid.

If I want to listen to ape, flac, or files that I haven't added to iTunes yet, Vox is my go to app. Simple to use with features found on few if any other players.

excellent player, easy to use and great for choosing tracks for my dj sets, I love the simple interface and the send to trash option on the app.

No words! The best audio app but I prefer the last skin mainly in the part of the bar with the close/maximize/minimize buttons... the skin is better all in the same color!!!!

Of the many players I use to play FLAC and other non-mac formats on my Mac, overall Vox is the best. The layout is great. I like that it goes into the top toolbar (the apple bar) when using the app, but that goes away when the app is turned off. It's sound output is the absolute best of all of the apps. I don't know why, it just is. The only thing I do not like is that when I save a playlist the app keeps the list, but all the content is frequently gone. I'll definitely buy it when it goes GM.

It not only shows a neat Winamp-like player, but also automatically plays all the other files in the directory as a playlist, calculate BPM and adds controls to the systray.

Unfortunately Vox doesn't work at all on Lion. When I try to import my music to the playlist, it shows nothing. When quitting the app it doesn't save my playlist or windows. Also it crashes all the time.

A real pity because it would be awesome to have a music player like this.

Wickedsp1d3r, sorry to disagree but Vox 0.3 beta 1 is working just fine on my '06 24-inch iMac running Lion (10.7.2). Actually quite nice, currently playing "Bring It On Home To Me" by Sam Cooke :).

In playlist, in case when I have mp3 with no album, artist or title tag should be at least shown name of mp3 file...
Custom column with mp3 file name would be great. I have many mp3s without tags and then I see empty spaces in playlist.
Anyway great APP! Finally have playlist!

The Application Vox has unexpectedly quit!

My little theory why RC1 and now RC2 both quit
so regularly - that maybe it has something to do with the album artwork.
How Vox handles the artwork, if embedded in the file itself.

After a restart or two, RC2 seems now to be working fine.
Even if no artwork is displayed. Sometimes only half the artwork
shows and the other half is grayed out.

But this is such a great tool.
The menubar 'play' features are very useful and a great idea.

For the Mac, this is a stand out - well designed wonder.
Fantastic export features, all-in-all this really is a must have...
if you ever need a stand alone player. To quickly play files without
including them in your iTunes library, and the mess that can cause.
This is it. To the developer - thank you.
