HEY WMV-Developers, that isn't called automatically update, that's called an user harassment and involves an Admin-Password... every time an update comes out.

It would require admin access to install regardless of whether it was just a web page redirect or a full-blown Sparkle update engine. Flip4Mac has no business trying to update itself _without_ requesting admin access.
And it's not user harassment when you click the "Check Update" button. That's like claiming harassment by a company due to you walking into their store.

To force it to use QT Player 7, enter:
defaults write net.telestream.wmv.import QTPlayerApp com.apple.quicktimeplayer
To force it to use QT Player X, enter:
defaults write net.telestream.wmv.import QTPlayerApp com.apple.quicktimeplayerx
To return to default, enter:
defaults delete net.telestream.wmv.import QTPlayerApp

downloaded it on my 10.4 os lol, she works like a charm
defnetly pay attention to download option and Choose not to download the program called "Silver Light" cause you dont need it and it is whats causing people problems.
program does its job no more need be said
