After updating from 10.5 to 10.6.6, Broadcaster 1.5.3 simply dissapeared from my computer. All the settings were still there, but no app... poof! So I reinstalled it and it now works but the icon was invisible, so I dragged it out of the Dock and then did "killall Dock" in Terminal (without the quotes) and all seems well and all the previous settings are in tact. Just thought I'd put this in here so if it happens to anyone else.

QuickTime broadcaster is an app for broadcasting live events or sending a video feed to a QuickTime Streaming Server. The QTSS is part of Mac OS X Server and is freely available as Darwin Streaming Server for Mac OS X, Windows and Linux. QT Broadcaster isn't particularly interesting on it's own but if you're setting up an internet tv station based on QuickTime streaming it's extremely handy. And free

Not very good... I've used other systems and this does nothing except glitch and drop frames-even at low rates and low cpu load over 100bt ethernet!! Shame, I would like to use an Apple product.

used this software to record video diary for myself and the children. Captain's log idea. Very adaptable preferances but also quite complex. Unfortunately no matter what settings I use the voice always lags after the video on the isight mike. You cna use another mike but thats not the point of spending £119 on isight! All the other recording (2 I found) do not have this problem but are not as adaptable or as free! Ah well this is captains log sighning off!
