Iris overview
Iris is a high-performance screen recorder that records to h.264. Iris leverages on-board GPU acceleration when available. It can optionally include video from a camera and up to two microphones. Iris is free to try with a watermark embedded in recordings. Use the in-app purchase to remove watermark from new recordings.

garbled audio from microphone although computer sound records fine. M1 MacBook running Sonoma.

I own Screenflow which is really does what I want it to do.
But I have to admit this new screengrab app is not bad. It is very simple to use and cheap.
If you have many cash to spare you should buy Screenflow. But if not and you want a good working grabber, this will do fine for $20
