Conform for Mac

Conform is built for editors who care how a Final Cut Pro timeline looks after it reaches Adobe Premiere Pro. It converts FCPXML or FCPXMLD files to Final Cut Pro 7 XML (XMEML) and rebuilds supported titles as editable Premiere Pro text. Text, real line breaks, alignment, colour, and calibrated title size and position are carried across where the two formats allow.

The product website includes a same-source comparison with no manual correction, so editors can judge the result for themselves. Conform does not promise a pixel-perfect copy. Motion template rendering and tracking, exact letter spacing or leading, and transitions other than Cross Dissolve cannot be reproduced through this workflow.

After carrying across what can be translated, Conform lists the places that may still look or behave differently, with timecodes and affected ranges. The exported XML includes Premiere Pro markers, and a timecoded report is saved beside it. Unsupported elements do not stop the rest of the conversion. Files are processed locally, and no account is required.

Conform also creates a bilingual, copy-ready editing request for an AI assistant. It identifies the affected ranges, tells the assistant to compare them with the Final Cut Pro original, preserve cuts and editability, avoid guessing, and report what was actually changed. The file is a bounded work instruction; it does not claim that an AI has already edited the Premiere Pro project.

Conform supports FCPXML versions 1.6 through 1.14 and is intended specifically for Final Cut Pro-to-Premiere Pro handoffs. DaVinci Resolve, Avid Media Composer and After Effects are outside the supported workflow.
