Taskbar overview
Taskbar is a Dock replacement that shows individual items for every application's window, similar to Microsoft Windows's taskbar. Taskbar makes multi-tasking much easier as it's possible to switch between windows with a single mouse click on window items that are all always visible, as opposed to the built-in Dock's requirement to right-click and select the desired window from an unintuitive text menu that contains the list of the application's windows. Other Taskbar features include window thumbnails, application launching using pins, workspace support, and window and app controls using the context menu.

- Taskbar is no longer in beta. Version 1 will remain free and expire on 2024-11-01.
- Some parts of the code were re-written to improve stability.

- Dark mode can now be set to override the system theme.
- Option to hide window titles and only show their icons.
- Option to show window titles in the thumbnail view.
- The ability to set how quickly thumbnails appear after hovering.
- Preference for showing tabs (e.g. Finder) as individual items or not.
- Option to hide the window's app instead of minimizing it on click.
- Preference to no longer indicate minimized or hidden windows.

Finally a worthy dock replacement! As a Windows user, this is exactly what I've been looking for. I've spent weeks trying various other ones, but they're all broken and poorly implemented. I appreciate that your taskbar shows the task titles. I'm overjoyed that I can rearrange tasks. And the breadth of options is astounding (I can even adjust the task width!).

I have almost stopped looking for a convenient replacement for the dock, because I am completely dissatisfied with the behavior of the dock with a lot of windows and monitors. This thing is like a breath of fresh air. She works like a native. I wish the project development.

I've tried other taskbar replacements and this is by far the best one I've used, and contains all the features that suit my workflow. Everything feels very well thought out and detailed. Minimised windows are greyed out, grouping of same apps next to each other for quick access, single window opening when clicking on a tab, and it's stable and fast. The only bug I've found which is really not that big of a deal is that after a few logout/login cycles the taskbar may appear blank - which is easily fixed by closing and reopening taskbar again.

Moved to macOS from Windows and wasn't happy how the Dock manages multiple windows and focus, especially with a multi-monitor setup. After trying out several alternatives this is what I settled on. It's missing fine customization, but the dev has nailed the core featured I needed the most.
tl;dr - if you miss windows-like taskbar, this is it!
