If you use this app on Mojave it is truly a marvel. If there is an alternative that works this well I have no idea what it is. However, if you try it on Catalina you are in trouble. Amazon Prime Video insists that you install SilverLight. That of course is a worthless endeavor for 2 reasons, 1) It has been discontinued years ago, there will be no upgrades. 2) You can try installing it but you will fail in Catalina because it is a 32BIT app. What about an alternative to SilverLight? Nope. What about Flash or something like it? Nope they don't work. In the end in Catalina all you get is a Black screen. You cannot even view the trailers. Support? Nah, the Developer has gone silent. Days of trying to contact him have been a total waste of effort. Bottomline, if you stick with Mojave you will be elated. Update to Catalina and you will have an app that has turned into detritus.

Honestly, this is the only 3rd party streaming app that I've ever used, so it's possible there are others which are superior, but in general, this does what it ought to, and seems to do it pretty well. Netflix plays smoother, and looks better than it does when I stream using a browser application. The only real suggestion I woul have is the option to have a detached transport control (etc.). Would be great to be able to see the artist/track, like/dislike the track, etc. without having to toggle apps, or have the player taking up valuable screen real estate when I'm on a single display. Would be fantastic if it could be in the menu bar, but given that not even iTunes does that, that's probably a bit much to ask. In general I'm stoked on this app so far, will probably remain my main OSX media streamer for the foreseeable future.
