Duplicacy free download for Mac

Version 2.1.2

Local and cloud backup based on lock-free de-duplication.

Duplicacy overview

Duplicacy is a new generation cloud-backup tool supporting most cloud-storage providers (Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, Microsoft Azure, Dropbox, Backblaze, and Google Drive), as well as local disks and SFTP servers (such as Mac/Linux computers or NAS boxes). Duplicacy is the only cloud-backup tool that offers all the following 7 essential features:

  1. Incremental backup: only back up what has been changed
  2. Full snapshot : although each backup is incremental, it must behave like a full snapshot for easy restore and deletion
  3. Deduplication: identical files must be stored as one copy (file-level deduplication), and identical parts from different files must be stored as one copy (block-level deduplication)
  4. Encryption: encrypt not only file contents but also file paths, sizes, times, etc.
  5. Deletion: every backup can be deleted independently without affecting others
  6. Concurrent access: multiple clients can back up to the same storage at the same time
  7. Snapshot migration: all or selected snapshots can be migrated from one storage to another

Duplicacy also comes with an elegantly designed GUI that features one-page configuration to allow you to quickly set backup schedules and retention policies. You can also easily configure advanced options such as email notifications, automatic start on logon, and exclude/include patterns. Duplicacy is $20 per year per computer for personal use. You can find complete pricing options here.

What’s new in version 2.1.2

Updated on Jan 06 2019

Version 2.1.2:
  • Fixed a bug in calculating the padding size during chunk encryption
  • Print the number of files if available in the snapshot file before downloading the file list
  • Don't list snapshots whose tags don't match the given one when the -tag is provided
  • Show more statistics in the check command (for the new web-based GUI)
  • In some backends the benchmark command may incorrectly list the chunks directory when looking for previous temporary files
  • Optimizing restore to avoid reading newly created sparse file
  • Align snapshot times to the beginning of days when calculating the time differences so that prune operations running on the same day will prune the same set of old snapshots
  • Make B2 backend work with application keys (based on #475 by @bekriebel)
  • Restore UID and GID of symlinks
  • Fixed a divide by zero bug when the repository has only zero-byte files
  • Do not update the Windows keyring file if the password remains unchanged
  • Continue to check other snapshots when one snapshot has missing chunks
  • Record deleted snapshots in the fossil collection and if any deleted snapshot still exists then nuke the fossil collection
  • Add Git commit numbers to version info
  • Removed a redundant call to manager.chunkOperator.Resurrect (which can cause a crash)
  • Remove extra newline in the PRUNE_NEWSNAPSHOT log message
  • Fix crashes on 32 bit machines caused by misaligned 64 bit integers
  • Fix "Failed to fossilize chunk" errors in wasabi backend
  • Add a -storage option to the benchmark command
